"Bruce Hardwood: Durable, Ages Nicely, Somewhat difficult to clean"
I've owned Bruce Hardwood flooring (in gunstock finish) for about 6 years. Overall, they're excellent and hold up very nicely to some fairly intense abuse (I have two young boys at home who don't take it easy on them). I really like the way the floors have aged. The grain has gotten somewhat richer, and the grooving between boards has acquired a really lovely dark grain as well. They definitely look better as time goes on. On the downside, if you try to use any cleaner other than the alcohol-based Bruce cleaner, the finish sort of acquires a foggy luster. It's easy to fix by going back to the approved cleaner, but I'd expect the finish to hold up a bit better with any type of cleaner. I did have to have a few boards replaced due to an installation problem (nothing wrong with the Bruce product itself). Replacement was OK. Due to the way the boards are factory beveled at the joints, the repaired joints looked a bit different, because they had to be cut to fit, and didn't have the same beveling. This is a minor issue, however, and is not readily apparent unless you're looking for it. Overall, I'd definitely buy this flooring again, and I would definitely recommend it to a friend.

"Bruce Hardwood Floors"
We have had Bruce hardwood oak plank floors in the living room, dining room, and upstairs hallway for twelve years. The installation, by Home Depot, required a new sub-floor which was an expense that we didn't anticipate. Now the floor level does not meet the bathroom and we had to install a tilted threshold. The floors are attractive and have held their gloss and not faded near the windows. They dent quite easily with weight from chair legs or from dropping heavy items from your hand. Over time, they have become noisy as the sub-floor settles with the house. I am glad that I did not put them into the kitchen since I do not think that they could handle constant moisture, although they are easy to clean. They have never required repair. I would recommend them for their appearance but not for their function (especially if with children and pets). I would rather have installed high end vinyl plank flooring.

"Solid wood beauty"
We have owned this Bruce solid wood flooring in our home for four years. I love the ease of cleaning and the durability of the finish. The floor still shines like it is new. Being that is solid oak it will scratch but that adds character to the flooring. The only thing I dislike about it is that it only came in the traditional 2 1/4 inch planks. I would have liked a wider plank but it is really not that important. The most important feature is that it is sold hard wood flooring that can be glued down to a concrete substrate. There are no squeaking or popping noises with this floor. The flooring color is light natural oak and will stand the test of time. I would buy the same brand again but perhaps a different style in a wider plank. I would recommend Bruce hardwood flooring to all of my friends as it is serving my home well and is beautiful to look it. By choosing this type of flooring you will enhance not only the appearance of you home but also its value.

"Breathtaking floors from Bruce"
Two years ago, we redid our library floor in our home; the flooring we chose was the Pimmit Hills Vintage Sangria flooring from Bruce Hardwood. The color is a rich reddish brown, with variegations that add interest for the eye and make the floor look deep, expensive, and rich. It's perfect for our library, where we have a lot of dark wood-and-leather furniture and a lot of leather-bound books. The floor holds a shine quite well, and is easily cleaned with the carpet/linoleum/ hardwood floor cleaning machine that we own. It's also easily cleaned with a wood oil soap, such as Murphy's, which I use every two or three weeks to keep the wood shiny and well-conditioned. I only have one dislike about this flooring, which is that it is somewhat susceptible to minor scuffing from certain types of shoes (high heels seem to be the worst offender). However, the scuffs aren't permanent; they wipe away with a damp cloth or a mop, and sometimes you can even do it with your finger. To minimize marks from furniture, we've placed pads under the furniture legs (like those designed to help you move furniture easily). The pads help chairs scoot across the floor without leaving a mark or a scuff. If we knew anyone who was thinking about putting in hardwood floors, we'd recommend that they give Bruce's flooring a good look. The price was very reasonable and the improvement to the aesthetic of our library was considerable.

"My Wonderful Experience With Hardwood Flooring"
It was about a year ago that I was nearly done turning my attic into a quiet study. All that was left was the floor. When it comes to the floor, there are a lot of things to think about. My main concern was the price. I took a trip down to the local Home Depot and started going over the choices I had. I narrowed down to Laminate, or Hardwood. On one hand, Laminate is cheaper, on the other hand there is nothing like having good sturdy Hardwood floors. I was in for a surprise when I found that they had Bruce Hardwood flooring for just $2.00 a square foot. I bought it and started installing straight away! I must say, I am not a construction expert and thought it would be much harder. The install was very easy as Bruce made a very good product without any warped or cracked wood. You can just imagine my feeling of awe when I was all finished and cleaned the place up. It looked amazing! I was very happy I bought the hardwood instead of laminate. It has now been over a year since I installed it and I am very happy with Bruce. The clear coat is very durable, there are nearly no visible marks or scratches after a whole year of use. It wipes down nicely and looks wonderful! So far I haven't had any problems with it and would really recommend it to everyone who is looking to go hardwood. You will not regret it!

"Beautiful Floors"
Hello. I have had these floors for about a year in my kitchen. What I particularly like about them is the appearance and quality of the floors. I have even recieved compliments about them! They also seem very durable and long lasting, so it was well worth the preety penny I paid for them. Their isn't anything I dislike about them (except their price). I would certainly buy the Bruce brand again, and would recommend it to friends in the market for wood floors.

"Hardwood flooring for my kitchen"
I had my Bruce hardwood flooring installed in my kitchen 2 years ago. I like the color and texture of the wood and the fact that it is relatively easy to clean. I don't necessarily like that the floors seem to scratch fairly easily - I thought that they would be a little more durable. I'm not sure if it is the fault of the installers or the flooring quality, but there are several gaps between the flooring and quarter round. For the price of the flooring, I expected better quality and a better appearance than this. In the future, I might explore other options such as bamboo but before doing that, I'd attempt to have them refinished. I am on the fence as to whether or not I'd recommend them to a friend, much less purchase this brand again.

"Great Floors!"
I've had these floors over a year and they wear great! Very easy to install, easy to maintain and clean. They ease gently when walking on better than hardwood.

"Wide pine boards"
Wow, I am very happy with my wide pine board flooring I put down in my den. It came unfinished, which saved some money, but meant I'd have to put in some elbow grease to finish them. But they turned out spectacular. I would recommend them to anyone who wants that "old world" charm.
