Review:
"Worst customer service ever"
I will never purchase a Daltile product ever again. We purchased some tiles through a 3rd party store for a backsplash project in our kitchen. The tiles were while marble, tumbled. I don't know if the product was tumbled with a bin full of rusty nails but when we received our tiles we every single one of them had rust engraved in them all over. There was no shot of removal and since they were white this wasn't going to be product we could use. I contacted the store we purchased and they were not getting back to us and after further review they had an F rating on BBB (shame on me for not checking). When I called the Service Center they said they had to hear from the store before they could do anything. I explained that the store was not responding and they said there was nothing they could do. The service center wasn't necessarily to fault though I wonder why their product came out like this. But then I contacted Daltile corporate and received no response to my several complaints and emails. This went on for almost a month. The lack of support and communication has made my mind up that this product and company is one I will go out of my way to avoid from hereon out and I will be letting my family and friends know to avoid it as well. Corporate should have a protocol to handle complaints logged for their product. This was beyond mishandled and if I could give the customer service at corporate 0 stars - I would. The service center people were nice enough so Daltile will get a star for that. Terrible, terrible customer service.

"Stay Away"
They shipped our tile floors to the wrong location. When I called to check on when the order will be picked up from the wrong location and delivered to our house, the customer service representative was hostile and hung up on me. So far, the installation is going well. But will not use them again. Very incompetent individuals.

"Do Not Order from DalTile"
Daltile brand is over-priced and their return policy is ridiculous. Bought some tiles for back splash for the kitchen. It was $21 and change per piece and I ordered 25 pieces which is over $500. First my order was back ordered so I had to wait longer than 5-10 business days that they said. When it finally got it after 3 weeks, the tile was not glass like the description said, it was thin and feels very cheap and looks ugly; the picture was deceiving, I guess. I asked for a return and they said I can't because it was made to order. All of the tiles on their website for back splash is made to order. If I knew it was a final sale for these products, I would never order them online. Initially when I read the return policy before buying the tiles, it says I have to return within 30 days and if the package wasn't cut or used. So I thought I can return it. The ineligible items for return is all the way at the bottom which I didn't read because I only read the part of "Return policy" in which I thought my product was eligible for return. I spoke to them multiple times and their only answer is "no return because the tiles were made to order". They did not try to work with me to find me another product... Nothing. They do not give a hoot about their customer. $500 down the drain because I am not putting that ugly tile in my kitchen. I even have a contract looked at the tiles before I made the purchase. He looked at it when the product arrived and he agreed with me that it is ugly, thin, and doesn't look nice like the picture.

"Do not buy Daltile"
Bought 12x24 and did 1/16" joints. Guess what; the tile dimension can vary by as much as 3/16"! Try to line up the joints... good luck! Called the Representative and he said it was normal for pressed tiles; Daltile recommends 3/16" joints on their web site but they only "recommend it" and they don't state that the joints should be 3/16" minimum... Their distributor ignores this as well by the look of things because when I brought the subject up with the vendor she knew nothing about it... No mention on the tile boxes either... Will never buy these again.

"Lack luster dull tile"
We have had difficulty getting this tile to look cleaned since the time it was installed. The tile has marks, spots, stains, and smudges that have not been able to be removed, even by professional floor cleaning companies. Our contractor has contacted DalTile for us and I have taken a tile sample into the showroom for help. But we have not been able to get a response from DalTile to help us figure out how to get this tile looking decent. It is very disappointing as the tile was expensive and covers our entire downstairs.

"Color Manufacture is the worst"
I ordered these liners - the color was wa, way different from the sample. Daltile doesn't care . No returns. No refunds. No information. You cannot trust them to give you the product you order because their color manufacturing is so poor. Will never order Daltile again.

"How do they stay in business?"
I invested a lot of time designing a floor that included this product. I went to a dealer to get it.. No samples... No pricing... No availability. I went to the local Daltile sales and service center. Walked in and after 15 minutes not even a hello. Asked about ordering and was told I had to be a contractor. I explained I was a woodworker doing a contract that included tile floor. Not good enough. Wrote to Daltile vp and was promised help. Two weeks go by. No help and not responsive. No idea how this company stays in business. I redesigned my floor using product from other vendors.

"Open the box, it's yours, even if the contents are flawed. More advice to Run from this company!"
Looks like we should have read these reviews before we allowed our designer, contractor and tile layer to install any tile from this company. Our choice, Season Wood in Orchard Gray is bowed and flawed and the company rep Aaron Walker out of Seattle, insists it is not. Good dog, good dog..knows how to tow the company line. Do not buy this tile, or any other offered by this company. If you open the box, it's yours even if the tile inside that you could not see is flawed. Our installer is having to keep redoing many of the tiles in an attempt to even out our floor. All cabinets and appliances have been installed so unless we tear the whole thing out, we are stuck with this flawed tile.

"Horrible quality control"
I have just gone through every single box of Keystone pinwheel pattern floor tiles in yellow and grey, which took two months to get, as it was a custom color. Every single mat (It comes on a mat, as it is a mosaic.) has a chip off the corner of one or more of the tiles. Every single mat! So it's not like it can be hidden away, or that piece not used. It is shocking. But if we tried to replace it, our project would be delayed by two months, and who can say that the quality control would be any better? Be warned.

"Run for the hills!"
Just to let you know how displeased I am with Daltile. 1. Your showroom has Yellow lights so your tiles look different when you get them home. 2. They were special order? So you have them in your showroom but do not consider them standard merchandise? Did you notify the customer that is was indeed a "special order"? Strike two. 3. A 25% restock fee of $300 is highway robbery. You guys can make more money on returns than on sales! 4. Three months for the refund is not professional. Slipping through the cracks? Hmm, ten emails and phone calls and it still slipped through the cracks. I would hate to see what you consider a "mistake". 5 years later? As much as I appreciate the 20% restock fee instead of the 25% fee, it still is very poor for business. I will be sure to never let my shadow cross your doorway and to post in tile forums what happened.
