Review:
"A great flooring product for your finished basement"
We have a finished basement with a raised floor. Our basement gets a good deal of moisture and needs continuous use of a dehumidifier. One of the reasons why we decided to purchase and install this vinyl "wood-look" floating floor was because, unlike the peel and stick or glue down vinyl, this does not stick to the plywood raised floor. Also, with the vinyl, as opposed to wood or laminate, we did not need heavy tools like an electric saw for cuts. In a way it is peel and stick but the tiles/planks stick to one another. We also opted for this because the price was reasonable and it would not absorb odor like carpet. We love the look of the floor and it is easy to clean with a dust mop or Swiffer-like mop. We have already recommended it to our neighbor who has the same style house and also a finished basement with high moisture. It was easy to install. We did have the help of my father who does many home improvements. My husband and I installed many of the tiles ourselves. We have not needed to repair this product. The only minor complaint that I have is that, like other vinyl products, the seams show a small gap. However this is only noticeable to me as I see the floor every day. It is not even a fraction of an inch -- maybe 1/32 of an inch. From what I understand there is an even stronger product from this brand. If we were to use it again I would search out the product. But for our purposes, in our light traffic basement this is perfect.

"Durable, Stain Resistant and Cold"
I have had my TrafficMaster brand linoleum kitchen floor for three years now and I have very few complaints. It has held up to daily wear and tear very well and despite numerous spills it has never remained stained more than a mop could remove. The only real flaw I have found is something that affects linoleum flooring as a whole and not my particular brand, the floors are very cold. Because linoleum is little more than a thin plastic like covering over a piece of cloth, putting very little between your feet and the bare floor beneath. I have never had to repair or replace sections of my kitchen floor but if I was I would not buy linoleum again. I would try out another synthetic flooring and get laminate flooring next. It offers many of the same benefits that I enjoyed with my linoleum flooring, but puts a thicker material between my feet and the stone floor beneath.
