"Run, don't walk away from this brand"
I bought one box of white 2" mosaic tiles to finish off my shower. You couldn't tell how completely off the colors were until you grouted them. 5 different shades in one box, and it looks like hell. Tiles within the 12x12 sheet don't even match. This is the worst garbage I've ever seen on the market, and now I have to rip up the floor and start over. Done ever buy this brand, they have zero quality control or pride in their product.

"Do Not Buy From DalTile"
I am remodeling two bathrooms on a tight schedule and I did hours and hours of online and in store research to get just the right marble. I wanted a white marble with very subtle blue grey veining - I saw samples of DalTile First Snow in a couple of Manhattan showrooms and the product looked perfect in person and online. DalTile's delivery times were longer but I was willing to wait to get what I wanted. The product arrived and it is not even close to the showroom displays or what they show on their website, it's got extremely pronounced dark black veining - this is beyond "natural variations" - it's a totally different product! They have a no return policy and I don't have time to argue with them since I need to just finish this renovation... I will never order from these people again!

"Shower tiles turning blue"
Installed Dal tiles in new bathroom install only to have some of them turning blueish on the edges, these are snow white tiles.. Flooring store rep says it may be shampoo - already an ignorant statement, came to clean with "special cleaner" did not work Not every tile but they are less than a year old appears glazing or some manufacturer defect still trying to get them to fess up. Stay away from their stuff

"Poor customer service"
DalTile is a nightmare to deal with. My contractor will not order from them so I called DalTile and asked if I could order the tile. The representative said I could. When I went to order the tile they told me they could only deal with contractors that had accounts with them. They said I could set up an account but I needed a tax id number (not social security number). Apparently you have to wait for hours at the warehouse to pick up shipments. I found a store that could order DalTile but they charge an extra 20% because of the warehouse wait. DalTile has a bad reputation for a reason. They have earned it.

"Ceramic"
Do not buy their products. Purchased 6 x 6 and 12 x 12 tiles in same color, odd of the same board. They were not the same color and the manufacturer's position was that tile of different sizes although sold off of the same sample board because they were in different sizes would be different. Of course they did not tell me that when I ordered. So I had to start over and order a different tile (from a different manufacturer) with absolutely no support of Dahl. Do not deal with this company. With their lack of standing behind their product they should not be in business.

"Dahltile manufactured stone"
Do not trust Dahl Tile. What they picture and what they produce are far different. The most disappointing part is that they do not stand by what they produce. Good luck trying to have them fix their mistake. They take no responsibility for the horrible product that they produce.

"Do Not Buy from Daltile"
Our kitchen designer took my husband and myself to DalTile showroom to pick out tile for our backsplash. The three of us met with a DalTile designer who showed us a cream colored 4x4 travertine tile called Pearl Domed Filled Travertine. We were told the tile also came in 4x8 so our kitchen designer ordered most of the tile that size and some 4x4 for the center design. We ordered about $600 worth of tile. When the tile arrived, I looked at the 4x4 pieces and they looked fine. A few of the pieces were darker than I expected, but most were pearl. I left the installer to work and when I returned in the afternoon, I was horrified to see that that the 4x8 tiles were much darker than what we had been shown - mostly walnut and noche with a few pearl tiles. I called our designer who said that DalTile never takes returns. I also called DalTile to complain and was told that natural stone varies. I explained that in the quality control process the different color travertines should have been separated. Mary Ellen said that a rep would come out to see the tiles, which despite my follow-up calls never happened. I ended up paying to have the backsplash taken down, purchasing new tiles (from Ann Sacks), and having the backsplash redone. What a mess! DalTile didn't stand behind their product. They are a terrible company to deal with.

"Poor service and sub par products"
I dealt with the Daltile pa store # 64. First let me say John (contractor rep) and Paul ( the store manager) were two of the most unprofessional folks I have ever dealt with in any industry or business period. I'd love to be able to provide you with their last names but neither of them would give it to me. I purchased 30 boxes of natural stone from them to do a bathroom a while ago. There was a delay in getting the installation done due to finances. The tile was stored in a air conditioned space in the unfinished bathroom. When I final,y got the funds to get the work done we went in and opened the boxes to find the stone had started deteriorating and rusting from the inside out. I went to the store to deal with it under the 5 year warrantee specified on their website and was told the return policy is 30 days. I explained I wasn't returning I was making a warrantee claim to which they preceeded to tell me they didn't have a warrantee. After I pulled it up on their site for them they then told me that natural stone isn't covered because I was "Going to" install it in a wet area (mind you it wasn't installed in a wet area yet). I them showed them their site again where it stated the product was approved for wet areas, to which they they then changed their story again and stated because it wasn't installed it doesn't qualify for the warrantee (the same warrantee they a originally didn't offer). My complaint is now into the vp of operations, next stop will be the better business bureau, and if that doesn't work to small claims court. This is a classic example of a company not taking corporate responsibility and trying to push around the little guy. I guarantee if I was a large contractor that bought frequently from them it would be a whole different story. Save yourself the headache and deal with a company that offers a quality product and stand behind it.

"Do Not Shop At Dahl Tile"
I visited Dahl Tile in search of ideas for my bathroom. Initially, the salesperson was very helpful, giving me various ideas. At her suggestion, I settled on Carrera marble as I wanted a light, white bathroom. The salesperson was less than helpful in ordering the tile. My contractor had to call in the order and she was extremely rude to him. Dahl required me to go again to pay for the marble and again, the salespeople were abrasive. I had several more dealings in just ordering the tile and arranging for pick-up. Each time, the employees were less than helpful. When the tile finally arrived, it was not what the initial salesperson represented. Instead of white, it was grey. In addition to rude, arrogant, unhelpful employees, Dahl has an awful return policy which they do not tell you about until you go back to conduct the return. All in all, it was the worse experience of any remodel I have ever done. My advice - go to Arizona tile - the people are much more helpful.

Review:
"Beware of this company's products !!!!"
We researched the tile choices for our bathroom remodel extensively. We perused internet sites for hours and visited several retail stores, including Daltile's own showroom. We eventually settled on the Coastal Azul tile from the Franciscan Slate series. The problem was that the only samples we were able to see were tiny 3x3 inch tiles. But based on these samples combined with the online illustrations we decided to go ahead, since we fell in love with the texture and the color variations of this product. But when our shipment finally arrived we were VERY DISAPPOINTED. We were led to believe from everything we saw that this tile was predominantly gray and blue in color, with some brownish highlights. But the tile we were shipped was predominantly BROWN AND GREEN, and just plain UGLY. DO NOT BE MISLED BY THE PRETTY ILLUSTRATIONS WHICH YOU SEE ONLINE. The actual products bear NO RESEMBLANCE to the online photos. Even the in-store samples do not truly represent what you will be shipped. If you do order Daltile products, count on half of your shipment being UNUSABLE due to unacceptable color variation. We will NEVER buy products from this manufacturer again and would urge anyone considering Daltile to be EXTREMELY CAUTIOUS.
