"I wish I saved money with another brand"
Before I get into telling you about how I wish I saved my money and got another brand of carpet other than Stainmaster, let me tell you the only thing I have found that will take stains out of it. Dab up as much of the moister from the stain and let it dry. Then use Hydrogen Peroxide on a clean, white towel or rag. Do this after the stain has dried, because stains deep in the carpet will wick to the surface if you do it wet. Dip the rag into the hp and rub it several times on the carpet until clean. Now, I wish I had saved my money and bought a cheaper brand of carpet, because Stainmaster is just as hard to clean as any other carpet. My first experience was a wine spill. I hand scrubbed the spill with Resolves carpet cleaner, which normally works well on my old carpet, but after cleaning once a day for three days the stain sill showed. Then I used my carpet cleaning machine and it still did not come out. Thank goodness, I did an internet search and learned about Hydrpgen Peroxide. Next was a spill with watered down tea that ice had already melted down. It stained badly and did not come out with carpet cleaner. The same happened with a stain from water dripping out of a house plant, and every time I clean a stain I think how much money I wasted on Stanmaster carpet, because stains are hard to come out of Stainmaster as any other brand of carpet. It does look good and wear OK so far, but so would another brand of carpet.

Stain master does not guarantee there carpet like they say they do to get you to buy it. Worst customer service ever and nothing but a joke. Don't fall for there guarantee that is does not stain it does and then don't stand behind what they say. I can't express enough how dissatisfied I am with stain master and this carpet spent three times more to have that guarantee and it meant nothing.

"Stainmaster is a StainMONSTER"
The reason I replaced our old carpet is because it sucked up stains like a sponge, especially cat vomit. I wanted one that was stain-resistant. My dealer assured me that this was one of the best for pet stains. Unfortunately, the flecked (frieze pattern) beige carpet has been as bad as the old one, not only for cat stains, but for dirt. I followed the website's instructions for cleaning and finally after a lot of labor and 4 applications of cleaner and blotting, I got most of the stains out, but they can still be seen. We have another carpet downstairs (don't know the brand), and the stains come up immediately. I wouldn't recommend this carpet if stain resistance is important to you.

"Don't waste your money!"
Do not buy this product StainMaster Royal Livingstone. It is a waste of money. The carpet did not perform. It stained easily and we have not been able to get it clean. We have non Stainmaster carpet elsewhere in the house and it's great. And Stainmaster does not stand by the product. A colossal waste of money. Don't waste yours.

A month after purchasing it looked filthy. Called StainMaster told me to get it cleaned. Got cleaned and month later it was filthy again. I chose this brand because I had it in a home we built and it was wonderful! StainMaster would not do anything about it. I am done with Stainmaster and will tell anyone I can't purchase the same!!!

"Worst Carpet Ever!!"
Needed to replace my 13 year old carpet and went with the StainMaster Fashion Forward Exhilaration from Lowe's. Thought it was a bit pricey but wanted a real good carpet. Had it installed in January and extremely displeased. Spills/stains do not come out at all, even with a steam cleaner, looks like a discoloring coming through in one area, which if you can't identify the stain they won't warranty and since it's not a stain, it's discoloring coming up through, we are out of luck. I'm paranoid at any little thing going near this carpet cos I know it won't come out. This carpet is a nightmare - my 13 year old carpet cleaned up much better than this, I never had a problem with it in the 13 years - so sorry I bought it!! Stay away from StainMaster.

"Stainmaster carpet padding"
My wife and I purchased Stainmaster carpet and padding from Lowes. We bought the top of the line padding. After installation the carpet looked great, however walking on it barefoot was like an uneven foot path with noticeable bumps and valleys. At first Lowes said it was defective and would replace it. The installer returned to replace the padding with the same recycled pieced together padding. We discovered the recycled padding has a mixture of soft and hard fragments that causes the uneven feeling. To resolve the problem one needs to use a solid unfragmented piece of foam padding to prevent the uneven feel in the carpet. This was not an option with the Stainmaster product. So we have asked Lowes to replace the padding with the solid unfragmented padding.Point being don't buy recycled padding if your going to walk on your carpet barefooted. Ask for the unfragmented padding no matter what company you use for your carpet purchase.

"Great Carpet For a Family With Kids & Pets"
We have had our carpet for about 6 years and are very happy with it. It's from Stainmaster, which is great because it doesn't absorb stains. The fibers are made in such a way that any liquid settles on top without absorbing into the fiber or reaching the pad. Many stains can simply be scrubbed out with a wet wash cloth. Others require a spot remover, but the stains come out really well. This carpet has held up under a lot of use from two young kids, and a very large dog that gallops through the house like a horse. The carpet fibers look great and fluff right up with a vacuuming. The carpet brand has been great, but the only thing I would have done differently is gotten a darker shade, to hide some of the high traffic stains that really need a steam cleaner to get out. My husband always prefers lighter colors, even when they aren't practical, but I think a shade or two darker would have hidden a lot of those stains. I would buy this carpet again, absolutely, and recommend it to a friend, especially those with kids and pets.

We installed a stainmaster carpet in the back room of our house. It is a hightraffic area so we needed a carpet that would be able to stand up the test. We have had the carpet less than a year and it has developed these "mystery spots" that don't seem to want to come up. We have had the carpet professionally cleaned and the spots are still there! When we called stainmaster to complain they asked us what the stains were from. Since it is a high traffic area we are assuming that they are from dirt. They promptly told us that they do not cover dirt in the warrenty and we were pretty much SOL. I would NOT reccommend them!
