"Stainmaster is definitely a master of stains!"
I am posting this out of desperation and frustration! We remodeled our home and used Lowe's in Carlsbad, NM. We purchased over $40,000.00 worth of merchandise from Lowe's! We have a different Orange home improvement store that is 18 miles from our home; however, we chose to drive 80 miles one way to Lowe's! We had really great experiences and were pleased with our prior purchases. The store in Carlsbad was going through some difficult times due to lack of employees due to the oil boom in the area. We ordered over$20,000.00 worth of flooring from them. We waited several months for the order to come in and for them to deliver our flooring. Several things went wrong with the wood flooring, but the new manager was very helpful and all was worked out. We also ordered the TOP of the line StainMaster carpet and padding. It was put in 3 bedrooms and our living room. Our home had a water leak and the 2 smaller bedrooms had to have the carpet and padding replaced. Once again we used Lowe's and purchased the exact same carpet and padding again! Fast forward to about a year later... I started noticing that the carpet was not clean. The carpet stained from my husband's work boots and where our dog would roll around. I have a carpet cleaner and cleaned it. At first it seemed to work. After about 3 weeks, the stains were back. I cleaned it again... same results. Fast forward again and now we had a couple of accidents from our older dog urinating on the carpet. I immediately leaned it with my carpet cleaner. Again.... stain was gone and then returned. I have been trying to get some help with this carpet for over 18 months. The new manager at the Lowe's in Carlsbad has never returned my calls. I have contacted Stain Master and they informed me that I had voided the warranty because I had not had the carpet professionally cleaned by a specific date. I immediately called a Lowe's again and was again given the run around. The last contact I had with them I was told by an employee that the manager said I could drive 80 miles one way and they would let me have a carpet cleaner and clean it myself! I asked again to please speak with the manager..... I heard her tell the employee that I could do this or forget it. Lowe's was done dealing with me! I am so disgusted.... I now have $10,000 worth of stained carpet. I have yet to find anything that will get these stains out of my carpet. My husband and I were NEVER told about this professional cleaning issue that would void our warranty... we purchased this exact carpet twice and were NEVER told about this! So..... I am warning everyone out there... DO NOT purchase anything from Lowe's if you expect for them to inform you of all the policies corporations placed on their inferior products and warranties! Do yourself a huge favor and purchase local! Lowe's and Stain Master dropped the ball and now we are paying a huge price for believing in these two businesses!

"Poor quality carpet. Warranty a scam"
We purchased an expensive Stainmaster carpet 16 months ago. We are a household of 2 people and noticed wear issues within the first 12 months. We contacted the store in Kansas City where we had purchased the carpet. When not getting any satisfaction from them, we contacted Stainmaster directly. I was told that they only warranty against fiber retention (twist), not matting or crushing. Their independent inspector said that fiber was a 4 out of 5 for retention so Stainmaster said that they are not responsible. They told us that we are required to clean the carpet with hot-water extraction every 12-18 months, which we were never told by our salesperson when purchasing. So we had a local carpet care expert with 40 years of cleaning experience out last week to clean the carpet. After cleaning and raking, there was absolutely no change. The carpet is still discolored and totally matted. He noted that the fiber is not retaining its twist and that's what's causing the problem. Back to Stainmaster today with a copy of his notes, receipt proving cleaning and photos. Got a call from our rep there, this time not as nice and friendly as in the past. She was adamant and insistent that this is not their problem. We replaced carpet that was 20 years old and it was in better shape than this new Stainmaster carpet. We will never purchase this product again.

"Very Dissatisfied"
This carpeting attracts dirt. While it is easily cleaned, I cannot keep up with it on a daily basis. We bought Stainmaster because it is supposed to be the best. Contacted Stainmaster directly and was told to have the carpeting professionally cleaned. I did that and within a week there were spots of dirt on the carpeting in every room. Will never buy Stainmaster again and will never recommend it.

"My First Online Review But The Product is So Bad I Feel an Obligation to Warn Others"
We purchased Masland Carpets Stainmaster Luxerell BCF nylon Corniche Carpet for a stairway and upper hall in December of 2015. $7.19 per square foot. 1500 for the carpet and pad and 500 for installation. In less than a year it was matted to the point that there are paths up the stairs and down the hallway to 3 doors on the upper level. The manufacturing representative said in early 2017 that we could pursue the matter further with manufacturer via the flooring store which was not successful, but that the most likely outcome would be a determination the matting and wear are normal. The prior carpet on the stairs did not mat and showed no wear: it was put in the house by us, was there for 10 years and in perfect shape when it was replaced with the Luxerell as part of a remodel project. We have 3 normal sized people living in our home and no pets. All of us remove our shoes as we enter the house. We have a Miele vacuum (top rated by consumer reports) and we use it. Currently in the process of doing a remodel on our walkout level and did consider StainMaster for even one second.

"Odor kept me out of room"
I purchased your carpet two years ago and received no directions for cleaning pet accidents. When my pup wet on the carpet I cleaned with the same product I had used for years, a pet urine and odor remover. The beige carpet turned dark brown and emitted a horrible chemical odor which lasted 3 months. We did not use that bath during that time.

"Worst Carpet ever and Terrible Warranty"
Terrible carpet and terrible warranty! Does not clean well and then they tell you it has to be professionally cleaned within 30 days for it to be covered. Baby spit up left terrible stain and is not covered under their warranty. Carpet shows extreme wear in front of our love seat. They sent an assessor to evaluate and since he said there is "matting and crushing" but no untwisting of tufts, it is not covered. This carpet has the best rating on their scale for warranty/durability rating. Really! I would not purchase any Stainmaster brand anything as they do not stand behind their products!

"Worst company ever! They Lie about the lifetime warranty!"
I purchased brand new stainmaster carpeting for my living room. It was over five dollars a square yard. I spent quite a bit of money on this new carpet. One of the things that attracted me to it was the lifetime guarantee. Let me tell you, that was a big mistake. This company does not stand behind their guarantee and they have many stipulations that they don't explain at the time of purchase. It clearly stated, on the back of the sample carpet, that pet urine stains were covered under the lifetime guarantee. Come to find out, you are not able to open a claim unless the pet urine is visible. My cat, Who is diagnosed with cancer shortly after the carpet was installed, ended up peeing on a section of the new carpet. I spent three months and hundreds of dollars trying to get rid of the smell. I even hired a professional carpet cleaning service to use hot water solution in order to get the smell out. As we all know, cat urine is one of the hardest things to get rid off. I don't care how much you clean the carpet. I tried to use the warranty, and was denied. The reason was, that because the stain is not visible, they will not make good on the lifetime guarantee. I try to explain that you can clearly see you're in markings under a black light. But that was insufficient for them. Hey then wanted me to hire the carpet cleaning company again and told me that was remove the smell. Are they that stupid? Does this company not understand how pet urine works? Cat you're right it is not like dog urine. Any website will clearly tell you that cat urine almost never comes out of the carpet. Again, I don't care how well you clean it. It's not coming out. So because the stain is invisible, they refused to make good on the warrantee that they claim to offer for lifetime. This is false advertisement. And I'm actually shocked that this company has not had a major lawsuit against them yet. But, I will definitely be filing with the Better Business Bureau because you are ripping customers off. How can you offer a lifetime guarantee and then not make good on it? False advertising. I hope your company gets sued and I hope you go out of business.

"Complaint"
2nd replacement. Settled 1st complaint and added additional monies and got another Stainmaster carpet. What I am writing was originally sent to this site June 5, 2017. May 2017 my replacement carpet was put down. Two weeks later it started to buckle If that is the correct term it looks flat and disgusting), just like previous carpet. The anxiety from looking at this buckled carpet every day and today is Oct 8, 2018. Anyone interested in starting a class action lawsuit? There are so many complaints. I didn't complain again until today. I was just going to have it picked up and thrown out. All I want is my money back. I asked for that the 1st time but was told by Barbara Womack at Stainmaster that I couldn't get my money back. I have bought 3 different vacuums. I try to vacuum in different directions. Nothing works. The carpet looks old. I am beyond disgusted. I had to jump through hoops to get it replaced last time. I'm turned off to carpet now because of this problem.
