"Awful product"
We ordered 850 sq feet of hickory 5 inch planks from Mullican. We have had nothing but problems with the floor. For starters there are spacking issues one side of the plank is 5 inches the other is 4 3/4 this leaves gaps in the floor. Another issue we have is the color of the planks a lot are way lighter then the color we ordered. And lastly the worst issue is that it chips and splinters. When i go to clean it the mop or swifter gets snagged and chips off a piece of the floor. We obviously filed a claim with them that got denied. We will be taking legal action now to try and get our money back. We had an inspector come look and he says that there is a definite manufactory issue, even still they deny any problems with their product. Please so youself a favor and go with a better company. It is a shame because we went with mullican because it is manufactured in America. You would think they would want to satisfy their customers and correct their faults. I am an extremely dissatisfied customer and will do everything I can to fix my issue.

"We love our flooring!"
We built our home in 2009 and purchased approximately 1600 sq. feet of Mullican 3/4" prefinished hardwood flooring, (NOT engineered flooring.) We have Muirfield, Hickory with Provincial stain. As I write this review, our floors are approaching their 9th Birthday and we have not had any real issues come up with this flooring. First and foremost, it is beautiful, real wood flooring with a gorgeous, glossy finish which I love aesthetically but also for the durability the finish provides. I've had one corner of one plank chip slightly and honestly, that has been the extent of anything negative. The floors were delivered to our home and allowed to sit a few days and acclimate before installation. The installer had no problems during the actual installation. They went down without a problem and again, were absolutely beautiful when he finished. For photos visit my Instagram page wowilovethat. The floors are easy to clean with Bona Hardwood floor cleaner and the finish has not worn at all in the 9 years we've had them. And one last thing to add; I have a very particular husband and I questioned him before writing this review. His feelings were no different from mine. We would definitely purchase Mullican Flooring again. I hope this has been helpful.

"Lovely floor"
This is lovely, good quality wood flooring. I find it very amazing that people forget they have wood flooring and start expecting it to behave like vinyl or ceramic flooring. Yes, it will get mild marks and scratches, ours did after movers moved our furniture in the house but that is expected. I want my flooring to behave the way it should. It is a good quality floor. I just love walking into my house.

"Stay Away from Mullican"
I had Mullican Flooring installed in my new home by Essex builders 3 years ago. I have had nothing but problems with the floor. Planks were splintering and cracking 2 days after we moved in. We were told this was durable flooring by the builder. Planks have continued to crack, and even after a letter that supposedly guaranteed the 25 year warranty, the rep has refused to continue to repair. The floor in my hallway looks like a patchwork quilt due to the number of inferior planks that have been replaced. He states cracking planks are from normal wear. (in a corner non-traffic area) I have tried calling the company directly, but I am caught in an endless phone tree. If your builder uses Mullican Flooring, get another builder. I have invested in a home that I planned to live in for the remainder of my life, and I have over 2000 square feet of cracking, disintegrating flooring. It should be illegal to sell this flooring. Last but not least, the 25 year warranty is a joke. Mullican doesn't back its warranty.

"Love it!"
We had Mullican wood flooring installed by our own installer. He did a fantastic job, which is key to being overall satisfied with our flooring... but the flooring itself is awesome. It looks brand new even after three years. We care for the flooring as directed by the manufacturer. None better. I don't know about these other reviews of unsatisfied customers... you do need to care for your flooring like anything else and maintain it. And it is easy to keep clean. As I mentioned, installation by a professional is also key. Thank you Mullican for an awesome product.

"Worst wood floor ever!"
Worst floor in the world. We bought the house with this floor in it and first time walking on it caused splinters in my socks. Noticed that there are cracks in floor that are various sizes that no one will fix. House builder Essex Homes wont fix them, installer wont fix them and Mullican wont fix them. Mullican says my dogs did it. The flooring under the kitchen island is splintering and my dogs did it??? Terrible experience and suggest all to stay away from Mullican!

"Devastated with quality"
Just had over 2,000 square foot of this flooring installed in my home. The install was difficult as the boards were not consistent in heights or widths. The boards did not fit together well, and as a result there are large gaps in many areas. Many ends are raised and uncomfortable to walk on with bare feet. Also, many boards had splits on the surface, as well as damaged edges. This product was sold as first quality from the distributors. Run from this product!! My husband and I are retiring, and were hoping to install a floor that we could enjoy for may years to come. It may look good on the sample board, but save yourself a lot of grief and buy something else.

"Poor quality finish"
I am the 2nd buyer of the home, and the warranty was not transferable. This in itself is ridiculous for a 25yr residential warranty! The finish on the floor literally began peeling off in any traffic areas. The stain simply did not penetrate the wood to any degree. You could scrap the stain off with your fingernail. As an example, I put blue painters tape on the floor and could not believe the finish pulled up when I removed the tape. My personal opinion is the floor was sanded with too fine of a grit and became "glazed" and as a result the wood, would not let the stain penetrate.

"Don't buy mullican: 4 month claim no resolution"
I have a 25 year relationship with my installer, I picked the Hillshire oak suede the ends and sides are rough and not stained. you can see the outline of each board and the ends light up when light is put one the floor. You can see the rough cut bevel-can't call it a bevel. It did not fit and you can see gaps. I filed a claim with mulligan because Trinity Hardwood Distributors did not respond to my installers claim. Four months later after inspector came and blamed on installation. It is not, they have admitted. Their solution was to stain each end of the plank and sides where needed. Thats nuts. Don't buy mulligan or any floor sold by Trinity Dist. in Dallas

Review:
"Aweful experience"
Just awful! We are building a new construction home with 2400 sqft flooring. We purchased the Maple cappuccino pre-finished solid hardwood floors and the first batch was "bad milling", the installer said he refused to warranty such a poorly made wood floor so the company said they would send us a "new batch". Come to find out, 2 weeks later the same 2016 batch was delivered to us and again horrible milling. The rep from the company came out and promised it'll be resorderd but with extra QC "quality control" and they were pulling it from a 2017 batch and one week later again, it was an aweful batch. The tongue and grove were spit, they weren't milled correctly there were gaps. What really ticks me off(besides loosing almost a month on the progress on our home), is that the rep swore this company sells "21million" in wood a year and no one else has complained. Well, in retrospect, I'm now reading these reviews and we are not the only ones with such an aweful product. Obviously the crafmanship and the milling in this company is second class and they misrepresented their product in their marketing. Very poor quality and NO quality control. Needless to say, I'm so disappointed with this product and will never buy nor recommend them again. The local flooring company will not promote them either. Buyer be aware. We ended up with Mohawk.
