"Do not invest your money on Mohawk wood floors"
I have about 2000 sq feet of Mohawk wood floors. The floors were installed in a new construction home in 2011 by Village Builders (now Lennar) in Sugar Land, Texas. The floors are 3 1/2 years old. The top layer on the edges of the wood are coming apart in every single room. I have no kids and very little traffic in the home. The floors cost close to 15k. Traci Cochran from Mohawk sent me a letter today which states "the Mohawk products is warrantied to the original purchaser of the material. Our warranties to do not transfer from home owner to home owner." Therefore, Mohawk will not stand behind their product. It is such a shame. Honestly, I would be embarrassed and ashamed to be employed/associated by a company who fabricates such a poor quality products. I suggest home builders find a new wood floor manufacture unless you want unhappy customers! You will regret using your hard earned money on Mohawk products.

"Poor After Sales Service"
After spending $4000 on Mohawk solid oak 5" width wood flooring, it curled up after 8 months, with Mohawk telling me the problem is due to excessive humidity conditions. Neither did my flooring contractor mention any humidity testing prior to installation, nor did Mohawk in any of their packaging or displays mention anything about humidity concerns. Now Mohawk refuses to guarantee the flooring. I am stuck with an expensive new wood floor which is curled. To make matters worse, the vice president at Mohawk of after sales, after assuring me of her sincerity to make sure I end up with a quality flooring and to call her if any problems, refuses to return my calls. I have learned my lesson here, and never again will use Mohawk products.

"Maple solid hardwood floors in Barrel"
I waited 10 years to put in my hardwood floors. We spent over $9,000 on Mohawk ArmorMax solid hardwood floors and couldn't be more dissatisfied. The finish on these floors is so plastic-y and it makes the floors look like cheap laminate. They scratch easily and are impossible to keep clean. They smudge from just about anything. If someone walks through with or without shoes, there is always a mark which I have to literally scrub (not wipe) clean. Our latest issue is that there are some little bumps that are creeping up in the finish. The bumps are in the exact same spot on the boards and they appear to be little bubbles which I am afraid will peel. Very, very unhappy and disappointed. I feel like I destroyed my home. I put this cheap-looking product throughout my entire downstairs. Just looks horrible.

"Warranty is Worthless"
Our Mohawk bamboo floors are rotting under our feet. They are not doing anything about it since it's due to subfloor moisture, but that is an area on their warranty. Jack's Carpet isn't any help, either, although the warranty was brought up as a selling point initially.

"Manufactured hard wood"
Bought a new home in 2006 installed hardwood throughout. In about a year I noticed what looked like peeling within the grooves, the color completely disappearing in some areas and scratches. (I do have dogs). I contacted the installer, who then had an inspector come out, who said there was nothing wrong. After all this time I am still angry about it. I hate these floors, and hate looking at them. I had Bruce hardwood in the past and never experienced any problems, not even a scratch. What 25 year guarantee? No more Mohawk anything for me.

Review:
"Bad quality; poor warranty"
When we moved into a three year old home, we replaced 800 square feet of carpeting to match the already installed 1200 square feet of Mohawk engineered flooring that was installed by the original home owner. It was the same Mohawk product. We were told that the color would not exactly match and we understood that. However, the wood is of a poorer quality compared to the same model that was installed three years earlier. The grain is not as deep and the finish of the new is dull. The main issue is that unlike the original installation, the stain along the edges did not take. So there are white looking lines where one slat meets the other in many places. The Mohawk inspector and the Quality Control Manager at the factory blamed me and their installer for not stopping the installation if I didn't like the way it looked while it was going in. The inspector also blamed the installer (who was a Mohawk licensed installer for not stopping the installation. They also agreed there was something wrong with the wood but Mohawk stood on their independent inspector report who of course was paid by Mohawk. The quality control assurance manager sent back his report saying there were no lines even though the photo he sent showed them. There is also a problem with a woodish type dust that keeps collecting. None of this was in the original Mohawk sections that were three years old. Edges of the new also chip off. Mohawk appears to have gone to less quality control in their product. I would never buy their product again.
