"Mohawk doesn't care about their customers..."
After our installation was complete, there were two and a half boxes of unused flooring left in my garage. Two boxes (56.5 sq ft) were never opened and remained sealed shut. We requested our salesperson at Flooring America get return authorization for these two boxes of Mohawk flooring worth over $230. Mohawk reported to our salesman at Flooring America that the total for shipping, handling and restocking charges on this flooring would COST us $50! So...returning unopened boxes of Mohawk flooring so they don't end up in a landfill would COST us $50 shows us that Mohawk doesn't care about their customers. Find another flooring company that cares about their customers!

"Worst floors ever!"
We upgraded our floors to Mohawk engineered hardwoods in DR Horton home built in 2015. These floors cannot be mopped or cleaned. You can sweep or vacuum without bar only!! The floors were installed in my kitchen with no warning that any little drips would damage the floors. Most of our flooring is the engineered hardwoods, we paid 15k in upgrades for these floors and they are now peeling and cracking throughout the house. We contacted Mohawk about the 15 year warranty, they had them inspected and "found no defects." Like other commenters, there is a film on the floor that has always been there. It leaves prints when you walk on it. They had these floors in the model, so we thought they would stand up to heavy traffic and frequent cleaning, no such luck. We are stuck with these terrible floors.

"So Wish we had known!"
Purchased Mohawk Engineered Floor (Jack Frost) from My American Flooring about 2 years ago.$8,000 for work and product. The floors are scratched and dented horribly! We are not big people or hard on things but the floors scratch and dent from the littlest thing. A 8-15 pound puppy put scratches in it, a rolling desk chair left dents, a ladder! the light color ( brown) makes it all more noticeable! The store sample rated it a medium to high durability floor. What a joke! I called Mohawk customer service and it took me emails and weeks to finally find someone to talk to who was no help at all. Apparently it is a middle of the scale hardness rating, which was never shown on the sample or told to us by the company we purchased it from. Will never buy ay Mohawk product again. Warranty on it does not cover anything!

"Poor quality engineered wood flooring"
We purchased a condo two years ago when we relocated. The previous owner had installed Mohawk engineered wooden flooring. Initially we were thrilled; the floors looked absolutely gorgeous. If we'd known that the flooring would begin to lift and that even walking on it wearing slippers (we don't wear shoes in our house) would cause scratches, we wouldn't have purchased it.

"Worst product and No warranty"
During the summer of 2015 we undertook a large renovation in our home that included complete replacement of our floors. We had lived in our home for 7 years with Mohawk engineered floors with no problem, but we wanted a different look. After much research, we chose to use Mohawk Hardwood flooring due to trust in the Mohawk brand and quality of product. We moved out of our house during the week long installation process and used a verified and trusted installer for the floors. After a week, the floors were complete and we were extremely pleased with the finished product. Unfortunately, about a month after installation, we noticed the finish wearing off at the ends of some of the boards. We contacted our dealer immediately and they reported the problem to the local Mohawk rep. We were told that an inspector would be coming to our home to assess the situation. After several months, an inspector called and scheduled an appointment. He completed his inspection and told us that Mohawk would be in touch. Fast forward a couple of months and we received a letter from Mohawk on December 6, 2016 stating that the issues were caused by moisture and that Mohawk was not liable damage. We were extremely frustrated that a brand and product we trusted was not taking responsibility for an obvious manufacturer defect. We are a couple years into our floors and the failing boards continue to flake and lose their finish. We had the same installer come to our home recently to install floors on our second floor. He immediately noticed the finish defect issue and stated that he has seen this in other homes he has installed floors in. He pointed out that there are specific floor boards failing, and the ones next to them are not... meaning that it cannot be a moisture issue. He would be happy to testify that this is not a moisture issue and is, in fact, a defect in the product. What a disappointment.

"Absolute Garbage!"
Builder installed this crap in new home. Builder is bankrupt. Floor gets blond scratches all over it from fingernail type pressure. No hardness in the wear layer at all! Completely discolors in the scratches regardless of the wood color. Garbage! $22,000 for garbage! Not bothering with Mohawk. Called them initially. They said go through builder. Not bothering with a corrupt business.

"Mohawk's warranty is worthless"
The finish on a portion of my Mohawk wood floor faded after just 3 1/2 years. The portion was beneath a rug with a standard bottom. The company did nothing to rectify the problem despite a 25 year finish warranty on the flooring. Mohawk does not stand behind its products.

"Uniclic Wire Brushed Engineered Flooring"
Mohawk engineered wood flooring is the poorest quality flooring we ever bought! We tried to go through the process of returning the flooring and Mohawk hired their own inspector to find any angle they could so they would not be responsible for correcting the problem, or reimbursing us for the flooring. My husband called Mohawk directly before we had the floor installed to see which was the best recommendation on installing the flooring and was told not to glue down the floor, or nail it because it's a floating floor. Our contractor installed the floor the way we were instructed and it looks awful! The floor bounces when you walk on it and there are several areas that are gaping. I waited a long time to be able to purchase wood flooring and it makes me sick to my stomach that I ended up purchasing defective flooring. I would not recommend this flooring to anyone and if you just purchased it, take it back before you go through the anguish we've experienced. We bought the flooring through Menards and I went through the proper channels to try and get the issue resolved with no satisfaction from Mohawk or Menards. Of course Menards does not carry this cheep flooring any more. I'm sure they had many dissatisfied customers just like myself and my husband. I would question any type of Mohawk products from this point, they do not stand behind their products, or care about customer service at all. My husband regrets not going after Mohawk legally.
