"Worst flooring ever!"
House is 3 years old. Flooring chips off everywhere. Tried to file a warranty claim. They told me it was because of moisture. Do not buy this product! Complete junk!

"Cloudy and Dull"
I built my house in 2016 in an age-restricted community in Charlotte NC. I choose Mannington's Hometown Collection. This brank of flooring is junk. It's dull and cloudy, shows footprints. It's cheap, cheap, cheap. I've reached out to the builder and I'm hoping for good results.

"Three times and your out!"
I ordered Mannington Engineered American Classic 5" wide SMOKE from a local retailer. The product arrived and the installer rejected it due to the bevel edge not being stained. There was a definite line of unstained wood showing when the planks were joined together. The retailer ordered the product again and the second shipment wasn't delivered because of the same issue. I was guaranteed that the third shipment had been inspected and there wouldn't be a problem. The installers set a date (3 months after the initial installation date) and prior to the install informed me that the product was still defective and they would not be responsible if I accepted it. l phoned Mannington directly to report the problem and to question why they continued to ship inferior product. Their customer service manager told to select a lighter stained product so the problem of the staining on the bevel wouldn't show as much against the stain color on the top of the wood plank. Really? This was the answer that I received after installers rejected three shipments of an inferior product. The rest of my conversation with their manager was even more discouraging. There was absolutely no attempt to resolve the problem and to satisfy any hardships that I had endured after 3 months. Do not use their product!

"Not suitable for floors"
Installed an earlier version of this same flooring 10 years ago and it is still in excellent condition having resisted steady traffic and regular spills. BUT....in 2016 added the "same" product to the remodeled kitchen (replacing vinyl) and 1 year later a dishwasher overflow caused the planks to severely cup with the raised edges looking ugly and causing a trip hazard. I bought new material and spent several days flowing polyurethane into the edges to seal the planks. Installed and 1 year later a spilled glass of water that was wiped up immediately caused warping. Mannington has apparently changed the recipe for this product rendering it unsuitable as flooring in any area where ANY water may EVER land on it! When I redo the kitchen this time you can bet it will be with a guaranteed fully waterproof product from a company other than Mannington.

"Mannington laughs to bank"
Transition piece cracked in several places. I called Mannington. Spent half an hour on the phone with a half wit. She finally ran out of questions and told me to send in pictures (color) and write up on what caused the crack. I gave her credit for being a half wit. Never again

"Maybe 72-Seconds of Water Resistance"
Mannington has not stood behind this product. We have had Spill Shield flooring for 14 months. Last January, snow that was brought in on someone's boots warped our floors within TWO hours. Mannington's suggested solution is to remove the warped planks, send them for testing, and replace the warped planks by gluing new planks in place. This sounds reasonable until you remember that this is a floating floor, which, per Mannington, must be able to move. (This ability to move is apparently a critical element to this flooring, as we had to pay for additional carpentry work so that this floor still had the ability to move underneath our cabinets). In addition, it stands to reason that none of our flooring has the Spill Shield coating since it all came from the same "lot." Why replace random planks? This warping will be an ongoing issue for the lifetime of this floor. We have asked Mannington to send a representative to our home so that we could demonstrate the warping on the floor in random places, which can be done in minutes not hours as advertised. This seems like a much quicker way to get to the bottom of this problem but Mannington refuses to do so. It's been almost one year since our initial complaint and neither Mannington nor the retailer are overly concerned about standing behind this product.

"Customer service is horrible"
I have flooring that I bought and it has been down for 6 years. It was their engineered flooring. Has not held up well. I submitted a claim and have provided everything they have asked for and i am yet awaiting customer service to call me back. If this is the way them work and the quality of the problem, wouldn't consider again for my home.

"Misrepresentation of Product"
I purchased approx 1400 sq ft of this flooring based on the sample provided by Mannington at the store! If the sample had looked like the flooring I got, I would never have bought it! Talk about misrepresentation! The product was also very expensive, over $10.00 per sq! I know Wood varies in color but this stuff is like black and white! Very dark to very light. Also a lot of the pieces had long black lines running down it. Looked like someone took a magic marker and ran lines down about 20% of the pieces! My installer said he had never seen anything like it and he had been installing floors for about 40 years! We put the crap aside and consequently were short about 450 sq. Mannington provided more product to my retailer but then wanted us to box it and the store to pay for the replacement. This problem delayed the installation by about a month. The installer had to sort through it and charged an extra $2500 for the time it took. I didn't blame him either! Now Mannington won't come good for the extra it cost because of their crappy material. I spoke to several of their managers and they don't care! I will never buy any of their products again and I advise anyone reading this to avoid buying products from Mannington.

"Wood doesn't match prior installs"
We purchased Mannington wood floors for half of our house and recently purchased the same style of wood floors to finish the house. I have put in a claim and sent in the two samples of wood that are very different. ie.. saw cuts and dark coloring (black) in one set of wood and nothing close to that color and texture in the new set. Mannington wood is one of the most expensive solutions on the market and it is very disappointing that the company is not willing to work with me at all to somewhat compensate or a fair resolution to get the problem fixed. At this time I have two different types of hard wood in my house.. Not good.

"Throwaway floors"
I had Mannington floors installed when I bought my place, about 2002. Compared with friends who also had hardwood installed in their homes, I always told them my floors did not wear well. Shows all scratches, is not waterproof at all, and does not clean well. I am embarrassed to tell people how much I paid for these floors, approx. 1,100 sf. I had a friend tell me that they looked "fake." Right now I am paying a contractor to remove part of the flooring due to a pet accident while I was on vacation (was not noticed by pet sitter and sat for several days). The entire part of that floor turned black. I was very disheartened when I called a flooring company to see if my floors could be sanded due to stains, wearing, and scratches. I was told that this type of flooring is "throwaway" flooring and that it just needs to be ripped up and replaced. When I purchased this flooring, I told the salesperson that I had pets and needed something that would withstand scratches and occasional pet mishaps. This product is a joke. Do not buy!
