"Hundreds of Scratches"
In Oct. 2018 a Bruce hardwood floor was installed in our bedroom. Within 2 weeks, we started noticing scratches in the finish and by 6 months there are hundreds, maybe thousands, of scratches. We have a dog, and the dog's nails are kept short. We also have hardwood in other parts of the house and there's no problem with that hardwood. But the Bruce warranty disqualifies scratches made due to a pet, so they've got themselves covered. The upshot is that the finish on this floor is so fragile (cheap, flimsy) that it would be impossible for it to look presentable 6 months down the road. If you are willing to spend the money to get a hardwood floor, go with someone who does a good job.

"Rapid deteriorating finish"
We built a family room addition to our existing home. In this construction process, based on their name in the industry, we selected Bruce Hardwood Flooring (Gunstock) and purchased the product through our local Home Depot. Five years after the installation, the finish on the flooring on the north side of the room, had deteriorated significantly with cracks and dulling. The room gets very little use. And the direct sunlight comes through an area on the south side of the room rather than the area of significant deterioration. And there has never been any moisture or water issues that might be an underlying cause. In reviewing the problem with the flooring specialist at Home Depot, they assured me they would contact their Bruce distributor and seek resolution. That was the last conversation we had (no response or resolution). I will NEVER purchase another product by Bruce.

"Waste of money"
We had the existing engineered hardwood replaced last summer when we bought our house. Some of the existing was bowing. We should have saved the money and kept the old floor! The Bruce flooring dents and scratches easily. This floor is not suitable if you have pets, kids, furniture, or intend to live in the area you are installing it. It's been dented from couch feet and a dropped plastic peanut butter jar! Plastic feet on any furniture will scratch it. We contacted the company and were told they don't cover damage from everyday use. The contractor was no help either.

"Poor Quality"
Poor quality control, boards are not true so creates gap half way down board. Ends aren't flush. Boards are flaking and knots are separating. Been in 3 months. I wish we had done more research. I can only hope if we sand off old finish we can reapply seal coat. For that I could have bought unfinished. They should be ashamed.

"Absolutely no quality control during manufacturing"
High end, expensive, 3/4" solid oak flooring. The planks that are usable are beautiful. Unfortunately, about 40% of the product will be scrapped. Flaws include varying widths, big holes and dents, improper surface repairs (lots of mismatched wood filler), shredded tongues and grooves, burn marks, severe water damage, scratches, poor quality finish, etc etc etc. You name it, they had the audacity to stick it in the box. Our floor will turn out great because we are installing it ourselves and rejecting all the crappy pieces. It will double the budget and extend the installation schedule due to all the rejects and necessary tear out. I assume a contractor would just install whatever they get, so buyer beware. I will never purchase Armstrong or Bruce products again.

"Warranty not worth the paper it's written on!"
Shortly after having this flooring installed, cracks started appearing in some of the plank surfaces. We felt that a 25 year warranty would serve us in good stead. Wrong! A rep visited and said that the problem was excess moisture. We had used nothing but Bruce cleaner. Never a damp mop. San Diego had no rain for the two years we had this flooring and we live 20 miles from the ocean. Claim denied. The cracks continue to grow. We were offered nothing in compensation. Be forewarned.

"Horrible Bruce Floors"
Just purchased 600 square feet of this engineered hardwood 3/8 junk....paid a fortune for it at home depot. Initially i had to return three different times 200 square feet for drastic variation of colors (mahogany when I ordered light oak) they said it was a computer error. The floors are down less then one month and are buckling and bubbling and denting and discoloring...How the hell this company is still in business is a shame. Ripping people off of their hard earned money and lying about guarantees and warrantees is heartless. We should all get together and do a class action against this horrible "Bruce Flooring" company.....Please note....anyone who is considering flooring...stay far away from "bruce Horrible Flooring

"Bruce Laminate Flooring"
I purchased this flooring in 2015 and in about 1 1/2 years I noticed scratches in the floor next to my island in the kitchen. Next I saw a bubble in one of the pieces. I contacted the seller and they got in touch with Armstrong which took about 2-3 months before the asked for samples. Next I hear that there would be no warranty. This without even looking at the flooring. I have always thought that Bruce was a top quality product but the warranty on this is poor to say the least. If this is how you stand behind your product I will be sure never to use anything you sell again. So sorry your customer satisfaction mean so little! Maybe our local TV station would like to hear about your so called warranty!
