"Shaw vinyl flooring."
The seams on the floor do not stay locked. Any weight causes the seams to pop. They will break off. The vinyl tiles also separate and leave gaps.

"Terrible product"
We had the Shaw luxury vinyl tile installed in our home within days it started separating and cupping. The flooring is chipping and looks abused. We are two seniors and have a quiet lifestyle. The inspector for the company said that direct sunlight was damaging the flooring. The company will not stand behind their product. We will not buy Shaw products again...and never recommend them.

"Awful"
Floor is trashed. Of course the company is blaming my husband's power wheelchair which he got after floor was installed. Flooring was down about four months when the chair arrived and within a month we could see ridges. Shaw says floor should have been glued and the company we are getting our new flooring from says they don't glue flooring with the pad on the back. The flooring was ADA complaint and no one can tell me what that means but the sales people at Menards sold it to me as being what we would need. Shaw sent an inspector to look a the floor and of course it was all done wrong, installed by a contractor with his own business. I told him it seemed pretty funny that we had taken Shaw flooring up and it had not given us any problems. Wish I hadn't wanted a change. It has been a costly switch. You can't talk to anyone to get anything done either. Menards has no customer service department that you can email or talk to. You have to write them a letter and they will forward it to Shaw and then the process is reversed when Shaw has made their decision. Primitive to say the least. Shaw will not do anything without you going through Menards. We have purchased new flooring but it's not installed yet. This is a nightmare to be going through this a second time. My husband is a disabled veteran and this is hard for him to handle. My thoughts are why do they sell the product as a floating floor but then say no it has to be glued down. Can anyone predict the future? I can't. I think they should sell it just as a glue down floor if that's the case. I have lots of pictures. It gets worse everyday. You have to wear shoes in the house or you will cut your feet. My advice would be to only buy from Shaw if you have money to throw away. We don't and they don't care.

Not much defeats my husband but this floor did him in. Terrible quality, wouldn't lock or click in. Going in the trash.

"Expensive and defective"
Bought Shaw Prodigy HDR Plus through a contractor. The pad was removed from each plank which was then glued down with what we were told is the best glue available for the project. Within a couple of months some of the plank ends are heaving or lifting. Very experienced installer installed all of the planks. There is some cracking sounds when walking on the planks with soft soled shoes. Would not recommend nor would we install this product again. Our contractor is looking into the matter as he believes the flooring is defective.

Review:
"Would not recommend Shaw LVP"
We just put Shaw Prodigy down throughout our living space and bedrooms. We regret out choice and we now have to figure out what our next move is. It looked fine before we had to cover it with carpet remnants while we decide. The problem is we fell for their pet friendly marketing. Which apparently does not extend to your dogs ability to walk on the flooring. We have two large dogs and they are having traction issues on this floor. Between them their have been about a dozen wipe-outs in a month. We called Shaw and they were not even a little helpful. In fact they read me answers in a way that makes me think they get this call a lot. They told me 1. the pet friendly guarantee only extends to scratch resistance. It does not refer to or imply that pets can easily walk on it (I also felt the 'imply' in their statement was added on purpose). I was also told I should have asked for a friction coefficient report before selecting the floor. Oh but btw the friction coefficient report does not apply to animals. (So how is it supposed to help?). I asked the floor store where we purchased the floor about the report. They never heard of it. He said he's been selling Shaw for over 20 years and his rep has never mentioned such a report. So here we are thousands of dollars in and no good options. Shaw has their money, they couldn't care less. The floor store recommends custom area rugs to cover all the places we need to cover, or ripping out this floor and starting again. It's just that $11k is a lot of money for us. And now we will have to spend at the very least $2k to cover it. Or more to rip it out. So if you have large dogs, dogs with hip or joint problems or older dogs I would stay completely away from LVP. We always want to have animals in our life, so we will never choose LVP again. And after Shaw's marketing and attitude, I will do my level best never to purchase their products again. Ever.

"Don't waste your money"
The first box of planks were warped. Another box had defective marks on it. We found some good ones and put them down. Now they are separating. Of course Shaw sent someone out to inspect them. He lied about how are flooring was installed. Shaw said none of it was defective. Buy a different brand.

"Stairs horror"
We had the Shaws luxury vinyl plank flooring installed in our family room and on 2 flights of stairs. I have no issues with the flooring in the family room... but the stairs were hideous! First they cut the depth of the step to accommodate the width of the laminate. This decreased the depth of the step to just a hair over 9 inches. It would not accommodate the length of my foot... had to walk down sideways to prevent the heel of my shoe catching on the back. The trim on either side is beyond ugly. We had the vinyl taken out and replaced with hard wood. It is still in the family room as it is on a concrete slab. It's been 6 months and so far there are no issues in the family room. But I would not ever, ever recommend the product on stairs.

"Junk floor"
I've been remodeling homes for 20 years. I have had some tough floors that I have installed. This by far is the worst in quality. Very brittle and easy to break. Cannot tap with the flooring block without separating or breaking the tongue and groove edges. I will never install, let alone buy this floor ever again.
