"Lowes Carpet Install Worst Ever"
My husband and I have moved 16 times and have always had good experiences with carpet install. Until our Lowes carpet install. The installers were scheduled to arrive between 9:00-11:00. They arrived at 12:00. Their shoes were filthy, they damaged our wall paint, baseboards, wall-corner drywall, new carpet (with dirty shoe stains), left jet-black handprints on our white doors, did not cut out the holes properly for our HVAC floor vent openings, left a terribly ragged edge from the hall carpet into the bathroom, and left our driveway covered in carpet debris. We will never use Lowe's carpet install again.

"Horrible installation"
Carpet color looks great, but the guys literally destroyed my house during the install and I doubt it will ever get fixed, though I've left messages. Destroyed trim, didn't even attach or cover some spots, seams everywhere, took a chunk off of my front door, and scuffs all over and banged up walls. I moved all the furniture myself except 1 piece to try and avoid dings, I even pulled up the carpet in one room and on the steps because I didn't want things destroyed. Just awful, the one guy had the worst attitude after I called with concerns the day prior. The team leader was nice enough, but horrible work. I guess you get what you pay for.

"Can't get house measured for carpet"
2 times the Lowes carpet measuring contractor failed to show up for scheduled appt. Waited 2 weeks for first failed appearance and when asked he lied and said no one was at house. Rescheduled for a few days later and he again blew me off and doesn't return calls. Lowe's will only assign this bonehead so I will do business elsewhere from now on, home depot is right around the corner.

"Lowe's ordered the wrong color"
I purchased a new home and wanted to update the carpeting as part of the move in, particularly on three bedrooms before I put furniture in them. I went to Lowe's, got the estimates and measuring set up, but had to select a color to get the estimate, with the assurance that I could update the color once I placed the order. All went well, quick turn around on the order and estimate and went back in and ordered the carpet - and gave the associate the color sample I had selected and watched her update the order. On install - it was the wrong color. she had never updated the order! I stopped the install and went back to the store. Bottom line - I cant "prove" I asked for that color so I'm stuck with a half done job in the wrong color and Lowe's will not fix it and has not completed the work.

"Lowe's Carpet Installation"
I started the process of ordering carpet in a room for my house three weeks ago. They came today and were in and out of my house in two hours. The whole cost of installation and carpet was a little costly, but it turned out great! The workers knew exactly how to install the carpet and put it in flawlessly.

"Horrible Experience"
Lowe's told me it would take a couple days to get measurements. 1 week later I had to call to get the estimator out. 2 weeks for carpet delivery. 3 weeks later still nothing. They mismeasured the carpet "short" so had to reorder. Said it was expedite shipment. Here we are 3 weeks after the reorder and still no carpet. Called the store and the third party Ultimate Home Services contractor they use for installation. Actually called more than a dozen times. These are a bunch of "yes sir" people who don't have the authority make any decisions. Paid upfront and now I'm left with an offer to install some left over scraps they have in the warehouse that are a close match. You shouldn't know the difference because it's on the 1st floor, bedroom / hallway and everything else is upstairs.

"Excess ordered by store"
Store employee added 60 additional square feet! Huge carpet roll sits in my garage. Don't need carpeting in any other rooms. Kills me having $$ sitting there. (May have to donate it.) Future buyers be aware! Person doing measuring had already accounted for pattern matching, closet coverage...

"Do not buy Carpet from Lowe's"
Had stainmaster carpet from Lowe's installed after 6 months piles on the edge were coming loose called Lowes set up an appointment installer came back review the problem said it look like a manufacturing problem manufacturer sent an investigator to look at it they stated it was not a manufacturing issue it was an installation issue Lowes told me that they could do nothing about it and would not fix the problem. Stay away from Lowes carpet, they do not stand behind their product.

"Rip off"
There's really no Free installation. This is a sucker advertisement. The carpet is reasonably priced but you have to buy the padding from the installer. The padding price is so inflated that this cost pays the installer a very reasonable fee for his installation. Next time, I'll shop around at carpet stores.
