"Horrible Experience"
I did an estimate with them and four other flooring companies. I had initially set an appointment for installation but after I received a better deal from another flooring company I cancelled my installation. After that I received umpteen calls a day from them harrassing the hell out of me! I told them put me on your DNC list and they still called me over and over and over and their prices are waaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyy too high! I got my flooring done with Better Floors and they were professional and cost a lot less! I hate this company so much!

"Do Not Waste Your Money"
If you plan on walking on your carpet daily do not get carpet from Empire. My carpet is 1.5 years old and it looks like crap. There are seams showing and an area where the carpet is actually pulling apart. I had someone come out and look at it and he messed it up more and glued it back together and told me to stay off of it and a rep will get ahold of me. They got ahold of me and told me its not from installation but probably from my dog (who is 15 years old and sleeps all day) They also said I use the wrong vaccum. Im sorry, what? Am i supposed to buy a specific vacuum for this crap carpet? I shouldve listened to my neighbors who said they got empire carpet and it turned to crap after a couple months. I am highly unsatisfied. I want to cry daily when I look at the carpet and know I spent so much money on something not worth it. Seriously save your money and go somewhere else.

"Customer Service"
The carpet that empire installed, about 3 months ago looked stained or blotchy looking. Customer Service called and asked if I was satisfied and I told them the carpet look blotchy and the seams were showing. The Representative said someone would follow up with me. Crickets, never happened because they do not care.

"Horrible experiance"
I had them come out give me estimate and I ordered carpet for my living room and family room. ive been waiting over a year to be able to do this so I set the appt on my birthday. I waited all day we had everything moved out of the rooms. I called them 3 times and kept being told they left a message for the installer well noone ever showed and they never called or anything since. I already had financing set up also not even a call to let me know why or try to set another appointment up I would never recommend this company.

"Horrible customer service"
Called Empire to ask if they would carpet a closet. Bear in mind, I'm talking about just a closet. The woman on the phone proceeded to take my information and schedule an estimate visit, so I assumed they did small spaces like a closet, otherwise why bother to schedule an in-home visit. As soon as the salesperson arrived, he immediately said my closet was "too small." Why wasn't I told this on the phone?? Apparently, they have a $500 minimum, so you would think the customer service rep would have inquired about the size of the closet. Waste of time. In addition, this was the second in-home estimate that was scheduled because on the first one they were running late and didn't show up at the appointed time.

"Do Not Hire Empire"
We had a glue-down carpet in the basement and sticky glue patches have leaked thru the carpet. The carpet on the stairs is fraying and I did not receive the padding I was promised. 3 months later, numerous emails, pictures and phone calls and they are only now contacting us because we charged it and the bank is getting involved. Horrible installation and Horrible customer service.

"Installation terrible"
Empire sent one man to do install, leaving me a 75 year old disabled Vet to help move furniture, job took 2 days and when he left my electric breaker was blown, which cost me $900 to have repaired the next day. Heat gun caused problem. I asked for adjustment for loss, but no luck with Empire. Avoid this company at all cost.

"Carpet Installation"
I had wood flooring and carpeting installed. The wood flooring turned out great however the carpeting was another story. I have doors on a track that lead to the furnace room. First of all the doors do not open because the carpet is too high. In order for them to close the installers jammed them closed which pulled the baseboard away from the wall. They didn't mention it and I didn't notice because I don't open those doors very often. So when I did notice I called my rep to see what they could do, and was told to hire a handyman to fix it. Really?? I wish I could send you a picture of what it looks like. I would never recommend them to anyone...

"Horrible experience"
Do not use this company. A nice salesman came out, took measurements, assisted in choosing a carpet, scheduled the install. That went very well. Without contacting me, my installation was date was moved later by a day. Then, we received a call on the day of installation that there were not enough installers to get to our installation. We re-scheduled it for 2 days later. We received a call on that day that the employee did not show up for work & they would not be coming out to do our installation. We re-scheduled it 2 days later (I was very clear that this would be my last time of re-scheduling). I kept calling throughout the day because I had not been contacted that they were not going to make it, but it was getting later & later. Finally at 5:30, they called me to say it was not going to happen again. When I requested to cancel my contract & receive my deposit back, I received an email offering a discount for the installation. I responded to the email, but did not hear back from anyone, nor did I receive my carpet. 2 weeks later, they finally refunded my deposit.
