"Laminate Flooring"
Do not use Empire. Our laminate flooring has had to be replaced twice due to the planks separating. The floors will last about 3 years before you start having issues. Once the floors are paid off, forget about getting a call back due to issues with the flooring.

"Bait and Switch"
The whole process was a disaster. We selected the Ponderosa flooring. We received Creole. We were told that it was the same product and it was not. We were delayed with the flooring install for one week and had to live with our home torn up as we went back and forth with Empire over flooring. The pricing structure that Empire uses is convoluted. We were going to get carpet from Empire as well but because of the hardwood flooring issue, we cancelled the order. We were told by our sales rep that we would get a refund, we did not and have been told that we will not. Do not use Empire!

"Buyer Beware"
We agreed to terms of 48 month financing. The Empire Flooring sales representative incorrectly selected (we assume he made a mistake) 12 month financing. The local office assured us that they sent the correct data to the finance company. The local office informed us that the correction could take 1-2 billing cycles to remedy. After the 4th invoice our terms remain at 12 month financing. Any junior contract law attorney knows this is violation of contract law. The sales manager refused to call me. The accounting office dodged us after emails/voicemails even conversations. No one took ownership of the issue or even attempted to follow up with us. It is amazing that these guys are still in business. Don't do business with Empire Today/Empire Flooring. They are crooks!

"Terrible Experience"
We had an estimate for removal of old carpet and installation of laminate to be done by Empire. The rep who came with samples and gave the estimate and contract was fine. On the day of installation, no one arrived -- despite a reminder email the day before. I called customer service and had to call back -- as no one got back to me about what happened -- despite them saying they would get right back to me. Finally, at 10 am, I was transferred to the "installation co-ordinator" and told that one of the installation crews did not show up. He wanted to reschedule. I refused and cancelled the contract. I will receive my deposit back. I had to initiate all communication about this problem and no one from Empire followed-up until I again called them. All very unprofessional. Donot use this company!
