"Absolute garbage"
I will never buy this brand of flooring again. The flooring is extremely hard, which is great. But in the process of that hardening the locking tabs are extremely brittle. I am putting this in my hallway and kitchen, and wish I had never made this purchase. I am 3/4 of the way done, which is a feat that I have made it this far. I refuse to use a rubber mallet on this flooring for fear the locking tabs will break, they have broke just trying to install by hand, I have installed laminate flooring without having the problems I have encountered with this flooring. At this point, I think this would look better laying in the street.

Review:
"Worst flooring we ever bought"
First off we have been wanting new wood floors for years! What was suppost to be an exciting event turned into a nightmare. the flooring contractor told us that the flooring won't stay together after about the 3rd row. The contractor did get the floor halfway finished and took him 3 times as long to get halfway done. Well the floors would not stay together. We had 3 other contractors look at halfway finished flooring and all 3 did measurments etc etc and pointed out boards are warped and the super cheap! we paid almost 4$ a square foot. so wasn't that cheap. keep reading! Great lakes sent out a neutral inspector which is a scam! I watched the flooring inspector pick thru boards and find 8 good boards put them together and took pics so it looks like the flooring is good 1st scam! I pointed out at least 15 warped boards which he ignored. He measured floor for. drop ratio and I looked at his yard stick and it was bent to look like floor was off 2nd scam. I asked to see the fake inspectors yard stick and put a level on it and it was an 1/8 off which I pointed out! I took pics of everything.. Great lakes is a scam !! We are out 3000 and now we have the pleasure of tearing out crap garbage boards and start all over. The good part is menards offers to take back the garbage flooring and give us a return. (thank you Eric and menards) bad part is I have spent an extra 40 hours and 3000 which I'm out. the flooring looked nice in store when we received flooring the color wasn't even close and you can peel the hardwood off with finger nails. They stated its made in america but ots made in china and they cut the boards here are. stay away from Milligan and great lakes scam...

"Big look, Bigger Dissapointment"
My Great Lakes flooring is a hardwood plank. At 26 months old the stain has come off most of the boards. It also has lifted and split the boards, I am stuck now between Menards not doing a thing to help me, and the Mfgr. I hope to have someone actually care about this clearly defective product! With a 50 year warrenty, one would think I should have better customer treatment in resolving this unfortunate issue!

"Poor quality"
The flooring won't stay hooked together. Some planks are wider than others. Lots of slivers on the edges. We ordered it 2 months ago and still haven't got the entire order yet.

"Worst quality and Menards does not honor warranty"
Horrible quality. Floors looked trashed within 2 years. Neither GLWF nor Menards stands behind warranty.

"Ellison House"
I bought this flooring at a respectable price for quality. It has a 30 yr residential warranty. The surface of the floor is soft and scratches easily. I am not pleased with the quality of the surface and must take a hammer to flatten scratches and a color pen to touchup after the scratch. I have had it for 1 day. I have purchased many floors and have never had a surface as soft as this one and so easily scratched. I would not buy this again.

"Great Lakes vinyl flooring"
This stuff is garbage. I bought 600+ sqft of it for $1500+ dollars. Carried it into my basement. Went through 6 boxes so about $250 worth. Not to mention my time. I'm taking out what I put down and returning the unopened boxes to return it. This floor won't stay together. It chips and cracks so easily. I've put down 3000sqft of LVP flooring over the years. I know what I'm doing. It's a terrible product. So pissed I didn't check the reviews first. Do not buy this stuff!

"Worst Flooring Ever"
Easily the worst vinyl plank flooring you could ever want to install. There is no easy click locking like advertised. Save your money and go with a different brand.

"Worst locking system won't stay together."
I do not recommend using the Great Lakes flooring material. The locking system is absolutely terrible. If I hadn't already spent $180 on it I would throw it all in the trash and go get Shaw flooring from Lowe's. How can anyone use this stuff and call it a click system? I never once hear this stuff click. Nothing like completing your floor only to find several corners or entire seams that have popped out. Great Lakes should find a new engineer that can design a better system. Oh and I don't know how many pieces were wasted because the U joint just tore away rendering the plank useless. I would not buy nor recommend any Great Lakes flooring from Menard's. And this is Menard's top brand so I can imagine what the cheaper stuff is like.

"Great Lakes Hardwood Flore"
These are the worst floors and have been fighting installing them for many hours and days. I had to cut them in the middle of the room with a hand chisel to semi make them work. I will have stain, sand and putty the gaps and hope it looks ok. Will buy a better product and not Great Lakes next time.
