"Cheap Junk"
I'll be the second negative review here. Saw this on-sale while looking at Pergo for a home office. New product and the "knowledgable" flooring guy said it was a new product and equal to the same thickness of Pergo. Listed at $2.99 a sq ft, on sale for $2.49 per sq with 10% more off came down to $1.80 per sq ft. Flooring guy said it was a promo as they started carrying the new product. Ok, why not let's try it. After isntalling today, this floor is a total CF, SNAFU and pretty much it's really $1.80 a sq ft cheap flooring with an inflated price to seem like quality. 1. It is a fiberboard back which is soft. It deforms easily. Extremely difficult to get tight joins as the material gives way and deforms almost just looking at it. 2. Laminate, what laminate do they mean here? It's essentially printed paper which is EMBOSSED onto the fiber board. The plastic setting tool didn't take much to damage the tongue or groove because it's Fiberboard. 3. Zero durability. Besides several bad pieces right out of the box the "laminate" is essentially paper it is easily damaged. I had the plastic "setting: tool slip a few times and off the printed finish came. F- I'll be contacting the Store Manager and requesting a refund and replacing this with PERGO from another retailer in a few months. Absolutely pure fake junk product.

"Horrible horrible!"
We had quick step laminate installed by a very reputable flooring company that is well known they said it was very good flooring. I can say that my wife and I are completely dissatisfied. The flooring has only been installed for about a year and a half and is buckling everywhere. We are afraid to even clean them with the normal bona floor cleaner with a mist mop. I have installed cheaper flooring from home depot myself and never had any issues. I'm sure the positive reviews are written by employees of the quick step company as every negative review reads exactly the same as my experience has been. I implore you to stay away from quick step brand.

"Bad Bad Bad"
I bought Quick Step Studio for my living room, I have installed Laminate flooring before, my den only took 2 days from start to finish, I have been trying to install this stuff for 8 hours now, only got 3 rows done, every seam comes apart, had to take it all apart and restart, the last time I took it apart I put the remainder back in the box and took it back to the store, I'll eat the box I cut for the ends, this stuff is terrible, not a DIY product, now that I read the reviews, I'm glad I stopped when I did.

"Never never buy again"
Have only had this down a couple of months and was made to believe it's great and has a lifetime warranty in a residential area. But it's awful, it shows any time its damp mopped over, and if any liquid gets on it then it starts to bulk on the edges. Do not buy and install anywhere that you may have a spill, leak, or if you have animals, you may as well put down press wood because it's less expensive and gonna be just as durable. Sick to my stomach.

"Will not buy Quick-Step products again"
Bought from Lowes. Allowed it to acclimate for over 7 days in the room to be installed. Installed over OSB subfloor. This product had the underlayment pad already installed. This went together very hard. and kept separating on us at the seems. I have installed, removed/reinstalled this type of floating in the past and never had the problems that I had with this stuff. Will never buy this brand again.

"Do not buy"
For all the 5 stars saying how wonderful it is... it use to be that way. The flooring we purchased 12 years ago was fantastic. Quick Step obviously lowered their standards of quality. And of course Quick Step always seems to find a way out of the Lifetime Warranty. Do not buy. You will be sorry.

"Great Floor!"
We had our laminate flooring installed by a professional. We chose the Sweet Maple by Quick Step at the recommendation of the store, which was not a big box. Not only is it beautiful, it has not scratched, dented or warped, even when someone left a leaky garbage bag on it yesterday. We live on a farm, so that's saying a lot! The quality of this product seems to be excellent, and the look was exactly what I wanted. My allergies have improved tremendously with the removal of the carpet. I had been wanting these floors for years, so am very happy with this purchase!

"Absolutely horrible flooring"
I was told when purchasing this product that is was virtually indestructible with a 20 year guarantee! This was totally false information. I told the dealer that I had dogs and it would also be in the kitchen... again, was informed "nothing can hurt it!" I am totally embarrassed to have this floor in our home. You are not allowed to put any water on it, and as a previous reviewer stated, all it does is smudge, buckle and separate. God forbid if any storms occur and I am out. I feel like I have to get right home to shut windows or the floor will get ruined! This product is the worse and the manufacturer does not want to take any blame or work with you to rectify the problem! The dealer passes the problem off to the manufacturer and then they hope you go away! Terrible, Terrible product!

"Don't Buy"
We bought Quick Step back in 2005 and never had any issues, recently remodeled our kitchen with a slight modification of the layout so we needed a few boards. The flooring we had was discontinued, but we decided to stick with Quick Step and replace the whole downstairs since we had no issues with the flooring in the past. What a huge mistake. This flooring is nothing like the old stuff. My husband and I cringed every time something drops on the floor as it will take out a chunk of flooring. So far we have dropped a table knife, set of keys and a screwdriver and every time it took a chunk with it. Also an ice cube dropped from the ice maker and we did not notice until the next day when we noticed the flooring buckled. Quick Steps quality has gone by the wayside all to make an extra dime. Embarrassing to have your product say Made in the USA.
