"Shaw Carpet Problem"
From Home Depot's Expo (now closed) we bought a Shaw carpet for our
family room. My wife usually irons while watching tv - we discovered
that the steam and water than drips from an electric iron made permanent
color change to the carpet fibers. We were stiff armed by all involved -
Expo, Home Depot, Shaw Industries, Better Business Bureau. Fairfax
County (va) Consumer Protection unit was helpful and supportive, but
Shaw stiff-armed them too. Buyer Beware of Shaw Industries, a company
owned by Warren Buffett.

"My Carpet Review"
I have owned my carpet for two years this August. I love its durability and comfort. My children have spilled multiple juices and foods on it but the fabric allows an easy clean up. They love to lay on the carpet while doing school work and sometimes even fall asleep on it. I love walking on the carpet with my bare feet and even our dog seems to love it. I have yet had to repair or replace my carpet. I would definitely buy the same brand again and I have recommended it to many of my family and friends.

"Not Gooood"
We built our home and moved in on
May 2, 2002. Put Shaw carpet in, thinking it was the best brand and quality for the money. It lasted less than 7 years and began pulling up on the edges and rippling along the walkways. It is so disappointing on so many levels and will never use it again.

"Great area rug from Shaw Concepts"
I have had this carpet since I moved into my apartment, about five years. It is a great rug that does not show dirt or stains, though I do keep it clean. The edges have not frayed much at all even with constant wear from my door running it over and cat clawing at it. The colors have not faded and it still looks basically brand new. I would recommend this carpet and others by Shaw Concepts as they are inexpensive and easy to manage. You can use any vacuum and any cleaners aside from bleach. This carpet has compressed a bit over time and become harder, but I am sure a good beating and shaking would fix some of that. It is quite normal for this to happen with any carpeting. Heavy furniture and bedposts have not damaged it in any way and the softness has not decreased much. Overall I hardly need to think about it. A good quality for any carpet to have. I am sure it will last me another five years or more.

"Terrible carpet"
I purchased carpet for my den. I replaced 20 year old carpet with very expensive Shaw carpet..over $4000. the new carpet after a few months looks like it is 25 years old. It is matted down and worn on the steps. i should have kept my old carpet!! Shaw had me wait for weeks before they sent an inspector who tried to find all sorts of excuses of things we did wrong. We are 2 working adults with no children at home and no pets.
Of course our claim was denied. i complained to the carpet shop and they called the mill and anohter inspector is coming to the house to waste more of my time. I have 18 year old carpet that looks better than thier junk!! However, Shaw better watch out!! I never lose a case. I win 100% of the time. they will lose thousands by the time I am done with them. I am taking them to court and I have decorating magazines that will take pictures of the crap they are producing!!

"Decent Carpet to Complete my Home"
I have recently installed my carpet this month. I really like the pattern, it adds a sweet extra touch that the room previously lacked. The carpet is really soft, however, moving furniture within the room is a bit of a hassle and quite scary as I did not want to mess up the pattern. I have a feeling that as long as I do not move the furniture around too much, that the carpet and it's color will last for a long time!I would definitely buy the same brand again and recommend the patterned look to anyone!

"About my Shaw carpet"
I have recently had Shaw brand carpet put into my home and I am really pleased with it. I like the texture of the carpet and it is really comfortable when you walk on it. The other day my wife tracked mud onto the new carpet and it was easy to clean up and didn't get stuck in the carpet like some other carpet brands do. It looks really great in the room and I think it is the perfect softness that you need a carpet to have. The only thing that I can think of that I dislike about this carpet would be the price. The cost of the carpet was a little higher than most other brands but I also think that is because it is higher quality carpet than the other brands. I would definitely recommend this carpet to people who want to have good quality carpet that will last them a long time.

"Carpet is soft and easy to clean!"
We have built our new home and moved into it in November, 2010. We have three children, ages 10,3, and 6 months and also a dog! This carpet has impressed me beyond words. It still looks like the day we moved in! With all the sippy cup leaks, muddy paws, and spit up from the baby, it cleans up to looking brand new.We do not even have to use a cleaner most of the time, just a wet rag! Also, when vacuumed it turns out looking fluffy and perfect. We are extremely happy to have this quality in our home and when the time comes to replace the carpet, we will put this same carpet in again.

"Shaw Carpet is Great!"
I have owned Shaw Carpet (Nylon) for about a year now in my room that I have renovated and I have to say that it is a very good carpet brand. Things that I really like about it are that it is very low maintenance so if you don't like cleaning then this is for you. You do not need to worry about it getting ripped and if something happens to spill on it; it is not hard to clean. Pretty much there is nothing that I dislike about it beside the price. If the price was a little bit lower I would have to say that it is perfect. I have never had to repair or replace it because it has been so great. I think I would buy the same brand again and I would also recommend it to a friend. Overall Shaw Carpet is very good and I have no real complaints about it yet.

"Purchased from Home Depot"
I think you need to put more reviews on this site. Shaw carpet does not stand behind their warranty. We have a 10 year warranty on our carpet. After 1 year it was already looking matted down and now after 3 years it looks worse than the 20 year old carpet we replaced. We had them come in and they tested the fibers and stated that there was nothing wrong with the carpet, perhaps we need to have it professionally cleaned. We have a top of the line cleaner which we used twice a year. Only two adults live in this home, there is no way this carpet should look so bad. Do not buy Shaw carpet they do not stand behind their product and their independent study is a farce.
