"The worst carpet experience we ever had"
My husband & I purchased Mohawk carpeting in March 2009 that had a non-stretch backing. Since then - we have had to stretch the carpeting 3 times and currently have an appointment for the fourth stretch. This 4th time - the installers will have to take approximately 6 inches off the carpeting. We had a claim with Mohawk to have it investigated. The claim was denied. When the installers come this time - I will box up every single scrap of careting and mail it to the claims department to impress upon them of their incorrect decision. A sales representative even called me and told me she thought the carpeting was bad. I will never purchase anything from Mohawk ever again.

"my mohawk carpet"
i have had my carpet for six years. i am very happy with my carpet. it is a thin carpet so it doesnt hold all the dust without mercy. it is a very nice carpet, and one of the few carpets i would ever own. i like the color of my carpet a lot. it is very beautiful. i have had it forever and it is very easy to clean. i do not struggle to vaccuum when i do my cleaning. i do not like the resistance it gives to my vaccuum. it is easier to clean in one direction instead of cleaning in any direction i like. i like that the dust doesnt penetrate deep into the carpet. i would buy this brand again. i do like it a lot and i do not think i would resort to any other carpet. i would recommend it to a friend. if it is good enough for me then it is good enough for them too.

"terrific design, expensive cleaning"
I've had my carpet for 5 years and has really been a very good buy, is a carpet in style, high quality and provides a good view of my house. what I do not like from the carpet is cleaning which is very expensive, but the advantage is that not gets dirty easily and washing the carpet is usually a month. I never really had to change my carpet or replace it, I would definitely buy another carpet from this brand they are very good design carpets. I do not know if I am sure to recommend to any friend, because washing is usually expensive but if you have the money and you like the looks of your home with these amazing carpets obviously I recommend it you

"dIssatisified with preformanace"
our present Mohawk carpet is not quite 8 years old, and being near 70 yrs. old , my husband and I certainly don't have any small children to run about, or animals who would ruin one small area in our entire carpet. I havee asked for help with this problem as it has not stood up to the wear warranty. we must now replace 60 sq. yards because of maybe 1 sq. yd.

"Very Dissatisfied"
I purchase Mohawk carpet from my local carpet dealer. It quickly started to unravel and I contacted the dealer who I purchased from and they sent out someone to fix it. It their haste they made it worse and it soon started to develop large holes. I have spent two years trying contacting both the dealer and Mohawk customer service with no solution from either company. They tell me to just keep calling.

"The Great Whitw"
I have owned this carpet since I had moved into my house one year ago. The thing that I like the most about it is that I it has a soft feel to it which is nice when I am laying on the carpet. One thing that I dislike about it is sometimes it can be very hard to clean out small items like toy parts because they can get deep into the material. I have had the carpet repaired once because my dog had chewed a hole in it. The repair process was very simple, they came in and replaced the small section of rug that my dog had destroyed and the service was fast. I would buy this brand again because out of the other rugs I have seen these are the nicest and softest. I would recommend this to a friend.

"Very Happy with the Carpet in my Basement"
We have owned our carpeting for a little over a year now, and I am very pleased with the quality. We decided to go with Mohawk Carpeting, and the type is Berber. I was afraid because we got a cream color, but I have only had to vacuum it four times with medium traffic. We had a Super Bowl party, and someone dropped their dark beer. I found that it came up very quickly, and you cannot even tell that anything dropped on the carpet. I have not had to replace it, and would recommend this company and carpet type to a friend. We wanted nice carpeting, but could not spend hundreds of dollars on it. We got their no interest financing for a year, and have had no problems.

"Mohawk Carpet in My Home"
The carpet I have was installed by the builder when I purchased my home 11 months ago. I am reasonably happy with it, but I think they chose a bottom-of-the-line product in order to save money, so I don't believe this is a premium installation. I do love the neutral color of sandy beige as it goes well with all my furniture. Additionally, the color makes the rooms of my home seem more tranquil and calming. I don't think this carpet is going to wear very well, as I've already worn a little "path" in hallways and from the living room into the master bedroom. The amount of foot traffic in this house is minimal as I live alone with only one dog, so perhaps the carpet could be a little more resistant to such wear. I anticipate that I will need to completely replace the carpet in my home within a year or so. I will probably not go with the same brand. This is not because I'm not happy with it, just because I have more of a preference for wood flooring. As far as recommendations go, I would advise any of my friends to shop for carpet which is more durable, and perhaps be willing to save a little longer in order to find something at a higher price range which will give them better wear and less maintenance costs. While it is dificult to control the carpet which may come in a new home purchase, it would be wise to ask the seller if they could at least provide a guarantee...
