"Avoid Lowe’s. Avoid Stainmaster"
I installed the best of show pet resistant carpet in my home. Unlike other pet resistant carpet’s that I have had previously, this carpet absorbs pet urine. It does not come up with blotting. It does not stay on the surface of the carpet. It actually gets absorbed into the fibers. I have a carpet shampooer which I use weekly. This does not remove the stains. I have had it professionally cleaned. Again, the stains have not been removed. I have contacted Lowe’s to resolve the problem. I actually thought perhaps they put in the wrong carpet. Lowes has been dufficult to work with, even though I have been a loyal customer and given them significant amount of business with all my rentals. I will no longer buy anything at Lowe’s. Buyer beware, the carpets they sell ard subpar and their customer service is even worse

"Looptex Mills 12' Texture Carpet"
I've owned my carpet for about 3 months now, the original that our builder installed 5 years ago did not hold up as well as we'd hoped. What we initially loved was the color, price and feel of the carpet. What we now dislike about the carpet is that it does not "bead" spilled drinks up quite as well as it claimed, and it has little to no soil guard/protection to it. I guess that's what you get for around $2 a square foot now. All in all I would not recommend this to a friend, but rather I would suggest that they pay a few dollars more and actually get something from a better known company, and not this off brand we bought on sale at the big home improvement store.
