"Awful service"
Dont get home depot carpet. Worst customer service. They didnt call me when it was delivered then wouldnt call me to get it installed. I had to call them and they wanted to install it a month after they got it. When I argued that they refused to install it at all. Wasted weeks of my time waiting on them. Not even worth the time nor money.

"Updated Review"
I would like to add to my review that the manager did make things right with me. They admitted to their mistake and took care of it. So I am satisfied with the out come even tho we had a lot of frustration with Home Depot. I appreciate him making things right!

"Nothing but problems"
Our problems started with the measure being a now show 3 times. Then the no show with the installer. Romanoff is horrible to work with. Home Depot contracts with Romanoff. Had we been told that the installers were from Georgia and all around the US, we would never went with Home Depot. We are in WV. The closest installer was in Charleston WV over 2 1/2 hours away. Our Installer came from Iowa!! We had removed all of the old carpet, padding and moved furniture only for a now show. They had no idea when they could get someone to install. We had to host my parents 60th anniversary with plywood floors and tack strips. When they finally scheduled someone to come install, here's where it goes from bad to worse. We ordered and paid for 15ft x28ft. of carpet. Our room was almost 14ft. wide and we were adamant on NOT wanting a seam. There were only a few types of carpet we could go with that came in 15ft. to NOT have a seam. We left the installer alone to do his job and came back inside an hour or so later and saw that he was getting ready to add a seam. We told him that we ordered a 15ft carpet as we did NOT want a seam. They sent a 12ft. piece. Not only did we not want even one seam we now had 5 seams. They did not send enough carpet for it. He had to seam 4 other pieces together to make one long strip and then seam it to the one long seam. It took him 4 1/2 hrs. non stop to try and make this work and look somewhat decent. He even sad that had he had the 15ft carpet it would have been so much easier to do and it would have looked flawless. He had nothing left over. We were to have a large piece left over to have bounded for an entry rug in our foyer. I called the manager at Home Depot to tell him we did NOT get a 15ft. piece that we ordered. Now we not only had one seam that we absolutely did not want we now had 5. Right in front of our fire place. The focal point of the room. He said that he would make this right. It was indeed a mistake on their part. That they did order the wrong size. We shall see what Home Depot does to make this right. But, I will not recommend them. They made our process a nightmare from the beginning. Our kitchen remodel will be going to a more professional and reliable company.

"Getting Measurements"
I went to the Home Depot in Wyomissing to order carpet on Wed. I paid a deposit and scheduled the "day" (Friday) I could be home for the measurement to be taken. The could not give me a window of time, they said you will get a call that day letting you know when they will come. I got a call from Erin in carpeting, on Friday (they day they were coming to measure) saying there was a "glitch" in the system. She wanted my cc again. I logged into my bank account and I see the payment was processed. She agreed it was paid but she needed my card number again. Then she called back and said she was sorry for the "glitch", she does see they payment was made, I won't be charged twice, but we will have to reschedule the measurement for tomorrow or sometime next week. Who has time for this!?!? I already rearranged my schedule to be here all day today and I get a call at 11:20 am saying we have to reschedule. Seriously reconsidering moving forward with this carpet. Maybe I should take today to go carpet shopping!!

"Not What I Paid For!"
I replaced the flooring on the main level of our home with a wood floor. That said, I ordered new carpeting for the stairs leading to our second floor (It was chosen to match the new area rugs. I purchased the best Home Depot had to offer (It was not as good as the previous, but was acceptable) $40+ dollars a square yard. (I have my own installer). After picking up carpet and taking it home. We found that the quality Density, plushness, thickness of yarns etc... was lacking. I went back to the store carpet in hand and pulled the sample from the flooring dept.. The sample was dense, thick plush. There was no resemblance other than color to the carpet they had sent me. after waiting in the store for a manager for an hour. I decided to return the carpet for refund. The associates in the store all 3 that I had dealt with agreed the carpet wasn't the same. After many calls( I still needed carpet). A store manager from the Livonia store (not the store I purchased it from) finally contacted Mill. The conclusion. Yes they had changed the yarns for the carpeting. There excuse was the yarns had the same length and same amount of twists. They sold me a cheap $10.00 per yard carpet at over $40 per yd.. The Mill obviously was scamming and HD did not know. There excuse is so ridiculous. They replaced a rope with a string (for the Yarns) and sold it as the same. I was told the Mills are owned by HD but I cannot say that as fact. The Manager was very nice. However, I cannot say whether this has been corrected. This happened December 2018

"Lifeproof - (thats funny)"
We spent $12000 on carpeting our house. We have one room that lasted two years and the carpet was vacuumed 2 x a week and professionally cleaned 6 times and still didnt hold up. They want to give me $300 towards replacing it as Mohawk will not do anything. Do not purchase this product. We are a standard husband, wife 2 kids with a dog family and this product is disappointing. This product is worse than the Mohawk Smart Strand which didnt last 5 years.

"Beware of excessive overage"
Home Depot measured and tried to charge me for 393 sq. ft. of carpet to cover a 257 sq. ft. space that was last covered with 280 sq. ft. of carpet. Buyer beware, inflated measurement means inflated price! Look online to find that the average overage should be about 10%. In my case, they tried to get away with 52% overage!

"Stay away from Life Proof Carpet!"
Very unhappy! We have had the carpet less than 6 months and have significant wear already. Carpet Inspector said we needed area rugs or runners for high traffic areas. Why replace the old carpet if you are just going to cover it up? The carpet fibers are "blooming" but the 2 inspectors said that the carpet doesn't have manufacturer defects, so Home Depot won't do anything. Check my Facebook page for pictures... pictures were taken when the carpet had been in for 157 days.

"Bad wearing carpet"
Platinum plus is supposed to be a top of the line carpet. We bought this for our living room last year. We also got the memory foam pad. After about a month, the carpet would compress where our feet rested while sitting on the sofa. It would come back up when vacuumed. Two months later it began to look worse after vacuuming. I went into Home Depot and asked about the issue and was told to have my carpet professionally cleaned. I was told this is normal and I had to fluff it back up. BS. My carpet is not dirty and we are to the point where we would have to vacuum every time we sat on our sofa, which is every day. We were told this wouldn't occur with nylon carpet when we bought it. It is no longer on the Home Depot web site.
