"Carpet Cleaning"
Don't waste your money - could have done a better job myself. I would expect Home Depot to return my money or a good portion of it.

"Run, don't walk, from Home Depot Carpet"
I cannot tell you how fed up and disgusted I am with this Big Box nightmare. They are revolting and I would give them negative stars if I had the option. My basement flooded almost 4 weeks ago. Right away we got the water removed and the carpet pulled up. Just finished the basement last year so the carpet isn't a year old. The carpet was salvageable but some pad was not. I was told their install people would contact me to arrange the inspector to come out before anything was replaced. I waited nearly a week to hear from them. Nothing. Finally I took it upon myself to call. The guy lied and said he had been trying to call me. I offered to screen shot my recent call log and send it to him. There were no calls from him. We lined up the "inspector" to come out and basically see what needed to be done. I already had had our adjuster out and could tell him what was going to happen, but NO, the inspector had to come out. And he had to come out on a day I was working so I rearranged my schedule to meet him at 4pm. 4pm rolled around...nothing. 4:15pm...nothing. I called. No response. 4:30...nothing. 5pm...nothing. The window I had been given was between 3-5, I think. I told them I wouldn't be available until after 4 and they made the note in my record and said the guy would be at my house around 4. Nothing. NO show, NO phone call. I was flabbergasted. I called the next day and blasted the guy. He lied and said he had called. Again...no record of this. We reschedule "inspector". The guy was again supposed to come at 4...nothing. 4:15 I called and "Sean", the remote customer service with Install guy says he (the inspector) is about 3 minutes out. I hang up. Well, 4:35 or so he rolls up. He did exactly what I expected...measured and said, "yeah, carpet is fine, pad needs replaced." He writes a report and submits it to this outsourced install company who has, at this point totally disrespected myself, my time and my work. Make no mistake, Home Depot has called and gotten it's money for the new pad. They seemed to be able to get through to me for that. But yet again, I had to call and call and call to get the actual service appointment set up. By this time I know that they are not going to call me. They said they have been trying to get through and this is a lie. Everyone else seems to get through just fine on this phone, but for some reason this Install outfit can't figure out how to make an outgoing call. I setup the install for the pad. I ask what their time windows are and I'm told I'll be called the day prior and told when they would be there. I literally laughed out loud at the woman. Of course they will! I have to set aside my Entire day to wait to hear when they decide to show up and do their job. I cannot tell you how much I regret this purchase. I have now dealt with my local home depot who loves taking my credit card number, the inspector who submitted the "report" and these incompetents at their outsourced install company. Never, ever, ever again. Go local.

"Carpet install"
Romanoff goons came to install my living and bed rooms. Two wall to wall seams are very visible there is a 4 inch cut at the hearth not taped making a future unraveling by the carpet sweeper a distinct possibility. There is another seam that the last couple of inches were not taped heaving another future unraveling. They chipped my bathroom floor tile, denining it of course. Not a happy camper. Try to save a few bucks with the "free install" at Home Depot but would not recommend them at all. Calls to Romanoff have not been answered. Next step go to the state contractors board with my complaints.

"Absolute Garbage"
I want everyone to know about The Home Depot's Lifeproof carpet. Do not buy this carpet! It's garbage! I bought less than 800sf of Lifeproof Morningside rice paper carpet, and their highest quality carpet pad, and paid $4500.00 for this garbage! It was installed by Home Depot, and the installers did a terrible job. Wasn't tucked in, no tack strip or glue was used when installed. Now It's fraying, seams are showing, loops have pulled up, and it's zippering! Home Depot refuses to fix this. I found out that Mohawk manufactures Lifeproof carpet for Home Depot, and Mohawk points their finger back to Home Depot and their installers. Neither multi million dollar company will back their product! After months of research and trying to get something done I finally sent a demand letter to Home Depot corporate office asking them to remove and replace this garbage. I've also sent a copy of this demand letter to our Washington state Attorney Generals office! Don't buy this Garbage carpet, Don't do it, you'll be so sorry.... Next step will be contacting an attorney.

"5 day install mistepresented"
I Ordered a particular carpet from Home Depot because it was available in the warehouse and could be installed within 5 days after measuring numbers went in. Three days after measurements solidifie, installer wont even return my calls to set an installation date. Local Home Depot tries to help but their calls not returned either. I call the national Home Depot customer service and they are helpful. Tell me carpet will be installed on day 5 as promised. Day 5--two different carpets sent out fr warehouse, so no, no install that day. Again, the installers are "out in the warehouse" or "gone for the day." I call the national customer service line. That lady is off Fridays. Monday, my carpet does get installed but it certainly does not look like the sample. I am selling the house, so i let it go. New carpet taller than old carpet so baseboard trim has to come off. Any help putting baseboards back on? Nope. "We dont do that," installer says. Good thing I am handy. If you are not, you've got a problem... In the store, Home Depot customer service people helpful and knowledgeable. Installers--Romanoff--their customer service is abysmal. I won't be buyng carpet for my new house from Home Depot, that's for sure .

"Wait time is insane."
So you pay the measurement fee and you pick your carpet. You wait a week or so until it comes in because it's always on special order or has to come from the warehouse. Then you wait a week for the call from the install company. When you receive the call your like, "Great, finally I can get my carpet installed". "Ok we can fit you in late next month". So unless you want to wait a month and a half for installation. Then your better off buying your carpet somewhere else and spend the extra .15 a square foot. Also you have to have a certain pad because the installers can only warranty a pad that has a certain thickness. Which cost of course cost you more.
