"Beyond Awful!!"
We had a simple carpeting job, but they took over 3 months to get the right measurements, and had to come out 3 times and none of the measurements were the same. Then when we finally were able to have the carpet come in and ready to be installed, the morning they came, the installer figured out the Home Depot got it wrong and said there isn't enough carpet to do the job and they have to reorder carpet in the correct amount. We had our entire place, packed away and crammed everywhere the carpet wasn't being installed and now we will have to wait a month for the install. We will have to put all the furniture back and then in a month move it all again. And since it is Thanksgiving we will probably be waiting even longer because of holidays. The installer was great and really tried to help us figure something out, even said when the carpet comes in as soon as it does he will come over the next day to install it, even if it was a Saturday or Sunday or in the evening. He was so sympathetic but said Home Depot has this happen often. I DO NOT RECOMMEND Home Depot!!! I'm now considering just leaving the carpet I have in for another year and starting al over again in a year with an entirely new company that actually cares and knows what they are doing. I called Home Depot and they didn't do anything about it. They said a platitude of they were sorry, in the most basic un-sorry tone. They said, these things happen. THIS WAS A NIGHTMARE!!!!

"Threads coming out by the bagfuls"
I purchased carpet from Home Depot and had it installed in late 2022. Every day more and more threads come loose I have to constantly pick up pieces of the carpet.

"What a joke"
Installed 3/18. Seems started coming apart 2020. They said they could come because of the pandemic. After many calls and visits to the store they sent someone who says it's not their problem. Now I call and visit the store every couple weeks and after dealing with 4 managers. I am told today that it's out of warranty and there is nothing they can do. I am so ad, I am fuming. This carpet says it has a 25 year warranty

"Stay away from Home Depot carpeting"
I bought new carpeting from Home Depot for my livingroom. I pulled out loose threads and yes a sandwich bag full. Also could see where it was seamed. After going in store and complain they sent the installer out he said carpeting was defective and took pictures. Well this went on for 6 weeks and manufacturer said carpeting was defective. I even said at first I did not want same carpeting and would pay more for different carpeting. They ignored my request and reordered same carpeting. They came to install it. The installer even questioned it. The one whole edge was frayed. They ended up installing it. Well this carpeting is defective and worse then the carpeting they removed. I questioned installer and got no straight answer. I have pulled more loose threads this time then before. It even looks shabby. You can see right where carpeting is seamed again also. They rip up defective carpeting and lay defective carpeting back down. They do not even care. So I am fighting with them again. I am this time filing a complaint with Home Depot corporate customer service and also emailing the CEO. I am also filing complaint with better business bureau. Stay away from Home Depot carpeting. Customer service is bad they don't care and installers are not that good. He knew this carpeting was bad but laid it anyway. Stay away or you will have problems.

"Installation is horrible"
Poor scheduling procedures, late showing up, unskilled labor. Three months later and we are still waiting for our stairway to be corrected. Should have been an easy installation for a basement with one main room and one office. More carpet has to be ordered to re-do the stairway, this will be the third attempt at correcting them.

"New Yorkers, Do Not Buy Carpet From Home Depot!"
I purchased carpet from Home Depot in Staten Island, NY. On 06/12/2021 for an empty 10x9' bedroom I had just remodeled. They sent a tech to get exact measurements and verify the rooms condition 2 days later on 06/14/21, which was great. Then they informed me the next day that it would take about two weeks for the installation, which wasn't too unreasonable, since everyone and companies were still recovering from the pandemic, so I agreed and purchased the carpet. A few days later the installation company ACS American Carpet South, which is Home Depots New York exclusive installer called to set an installation date. The Earliest being 6 Weeks Away! But having already paid, i agreed. On The morning of The install date of 07/21/21 the carpet installer company called to say they could Not install it today and would have to reschedule, the earliest being 07/28/21. I was a little frustrated, but agreed, again. On the morning of 07/28/21 I get a call from them a Again, to cancel the appointment. Being a little angry and frustrated, I wanted to cancel my entire order. But was told I would have to take it up with Home Depot. But in The meantime he would reschedule me for the morning of 08/05/21 and take $50.00 off of the installation for my trouble. I immediately called Home Depot and was told that the carpet I ordered, as is most of their carpets, was a special order and could not be cancelled or refunded. Now I was really angry, but what could I do. I learned my lesson. Its a good thing i am retired and didnt have to take time out of work. I could have gone to any local carpet store and for a few measly dollars more, could have had the carpet in a week or two. On 08/05/21 not hearing anything from ACS installers, I called them and was informed that they would arrive between 11-3:00 in the afternoon, after being promised a morning appointment. At 1 o'clock I was informed they would arrive in 30 minutes. An hour and a half later, an installer arrived at 2:30 alone. Although he was nice and friendly, he hardly spoke English and did not really know what he was doing. I helped him to unroll the 12x10 carpet and was able to stop him just before he was going to cut. He was going to cut the carpet and put a 15 inch seam across the room. When he could have turned the roll around and have no seam. What the Hell Was He Thinking! I was lucky to be there and stop him. But he did a fine job afterwards, but then again, anyone could have done this install. It was a simple 10x9 square room, with no furniture at all. I even left the floor moldings off, waiting for the carpet first. And by the way, I never saw the $50. off of the install. I don't know about other States and the installers Home Depot uses out there. But check out their installers before buying their carpet.

"Very unsatisfied with customer service"
So far it took 3 weeks just to get the right quote. People missing at the appointments and telephone calls not answered. After I was finally able to order and pay I never received a delivery and installation date. I have been on the phone for hours to get an answer. Still nobody knows. Absolutely absurd.

"Nightmare experience - Never Again."
Where to begin - We asked for a quote from Home Depot as we needed to replace the carpet on 2 levels of our home. The first measurer who came out missed some things that I caught after they emailed a quote to me so they had to send another guy out to remeasure. When they sent me the second quote it had the wrong carpet on it so they had to re-do it again. I wish we would have walked away at that point but everyone makes mistakes so we let them continue. We were now more than 2 weeks into the process and finally had a valid quote that actually looked pretty attractive considering the "free" installation, "free" furniture moving, among other things stated in the agreement. When we chose to accept the proposal we were contacting by Kimber who let us know they were 6 weeks out to install, not convenient but understandable. She was very pushy and informed us that she was only scheduling the installers for one day and that we should have all of the rooms completely cleared for them because they "really aren't furniture movers anyway". What? We are a hard working couple in our mid-fifties so our backs aren't what they used to be but we wanted to make sure everything was done since we had a houseful of relatives coming the following weekend so we moved every bit of furniture and everything from all of the rooms out onto our 2 decks. I even pulled up some of the carpet. Seth, the installer was rude from the second I greeted him at the front door. He acted like he had a hot date at 3:00 or something and all he wanted to do was the bare minimum he had to and get out as fast as possible. He told me he wouldn't have time to do the stairs and they would have to schedule another day to do them. When I called Kimber she said the very soonest they could come back would be July 13th, exactly 4 weeks away! There was no compassion whatsoever and no apologies for the inconvenience. I said I can't wait that long and will have to hire someone else to do the stairs so I wanted a partial refund for the stairs and for us not getting the free furniture moving as stated in the agreement. She refused. We were already 2 months into this thing and they wanted to now delay another month. Seth left the carpet and pad with me for the stairs and headed on his way. So to recap: 1) Multiple botched estimates and quotes 2) They did not touch one piece of furniture or other of our possessions, 3) Did not do our steps even though it was in the bid and we moved all of the furniture for them so it could get done in one day 4) Rude installer with absolutely no people skills 5) Left a horrible mess 6) Refused to refund any money even though they did not fill their end of the agreement. I must say Seth's assistant was fantastic, hard working, pleasant, and friendly. It's too bad he's working with a guy who couldn't care less about pleasing the customer or doing the right thing as agreed. Never again.
