"Fraudulent Warranty"
Within one month after installation, large pulls in the carpet started to form. Mouery’s (the installer) was notified and they went through the Gulistan warranty process. The manufacturer approved to only have two of the four rooms (not including the staircase) carpet replaced due to defects. However, the other rooms carpet were from the same lot. So, the entire house needed to be replaced. The manufacturer sent a team out to analyze the carpet, and the team agreed the entire house needed to be replaced because the glue was defective and the strands were too short. However, the manufacturer ran their own tests and of course denied the claim. This has now been over 1.5 years and nothing has been done to actually fix the situation and there are hundreds of snags and pulls in the carpeting. For two people living in the home this seems quite extreme especially for nearly $10,000 worth of carpeting. When will companies actually do what they say they are going to do?

So, once again the consumer is the only one who loses. When will companies actually do what they say they are going to do?

"Cheap glues on yarns are pulling out."
Our carpet is only 6 weeks old and from beginning the threads/yarns are pulling out and the wear is terrible. when you try to pull out the threads that are out bunch connecting treads come up with it. It looks like this carpet was not weaved and they glued the yarns. so disappointed! waste of time and money. It took up a day to take out our furniture. and another day install and a day to put back everything.

"Great carpet"
I had arbor lane installed 3 years ago... I love this stuff. I have a husband, 4 children, 2 dogs, 1 cat, and 2 goldfish. My boys can't stain it, clean up is nothing more than a vacuum and it still looks brand new. I'd buy Stainmaster Gulistan carpet again.

"Not Happy with the Gulistan Carpet Company"
I have been in the flooring business for 15 years. In December of 2009 we sold one of our customers 134 yards of Gulistan: Arbor Lane carpet. Our customer was thrilled with her carpet till it started bubbling. We had the carpet tested by Gulistan and of course it met their standards, we also had it texted by an independent carpet texting company and it did not meet industry standard for stretching. We hoped for some help with our customer but Gulistan will not stand behind this product because they say it meets their standards. We are a small family based business and a 135 yard sale of carpet means a lot to our business. We will stand behind our customer and help her get a better product but we will no longer carry or sell Gulistan carpets in our store.

"Love my carpet hate my carpey"
I purchased a bunch of new furniture two years ago after I got my taxes back. One of my purchases was a large mostly black area rug with red circles and green rectangles. I love the design and the fact that it is thick and durable, but shortly after my purchase, I regreted it. The fibers the rug is made of is constantly shedding and with a dog running around on it, it is in almost every room in my house! It drives me absolutely nuts. I do love the style of it and it fits well with the design of the rest of my living room, but I probably will never purchase this brand again. I will also be sure to ask about shedding next time before purchasing a rug. I have never had it cleaned professionally because I cannot afford it, I am wondering if doing so would prevent further shedding. If I was ever asked by a friend or family member if I would recommend them buying the same brand of rug, I would tell them to consider it if the rug is cheap and if they plan on getting a lighter color so it would not show too much if it started to shed. I would, however, recommend if they have the money to buy a different brand than the one I bought to definitely do so to avoid the agravation.
